His site is the kind of thing that makes you laugh your ass off for a year, then you visit less frequently, then you stop. You come back 2 months later and realize that it's not all that funny.

I went to the site expecting an article with "Woo! 10 years of Maddox! Here's a look through the highlights". Or SOMETHING. But in true Maddox style, he's only updated the page banner.
Let's hope for 10 more years of hardly updating his site.

I still haven't managed to read all his material yet so its not horribly slow in terms of updating...Once I'm finished though I'll probably end up complaining like you guys too...
Regardless 10 years of having the best page in the universe is a big accomplishment that well...Noone else in the universe can compete with.

I remember the first of two times I checked out the best page in the universe. Was good for a giggle and read pretty much everything on it. That was a few years back.
The second time was a month ago and well, very little has changed. Some of it is worth a reading again though.
Congrats to maddox for lasting so long.

You know, I don't really like Maddox. Why is he so popular? All he does is have a website that he updates about once a month. Honestly, most of his stuff isn't even funny. Its like, C-SPAN funny. I'm gonna shut up and watch the replies. :shot:

I like his site, but I rarely check it out anymore. Pretty much the only time I go is when I am at gorillamask.net and they have a link to a new article of his, which doesn't happen often.

His site was good before he abandoned it. I mean, look at his archive; One for each year up to '03. Notice the lack of '04-'06. That's because he has done less work in these 4 years combined than in one of the previous years. Don't get me wrong though, the guy's hilarious, but at this point it's like a one joke stand-up.
This is just a wild guess, but maybe the guy has been busy writing hilarious best-selling books rather than articles for ungrateful internet trolls.

I have the Alphabet of Manliness. It sits like a golden calf on my bookcase , once again resting in my possession after going on it's tour of all my friends, who now all read his site.

You probably shouldn't be on the internet then. I didn't start reading his sight religiously until last summer, but I've known about him since I started using the internet a pretty good bit back when I was 10.
I hadn't heard of his site, either.
I don't ever know what to look for and only find places when someone I know recommends it to me.
The first forum I went to, I found with google looking for something unrelated.
Then I stopped going there.
Then found another [[Once again, on accident]].
Then someone advertised their site [breaking rules of course] and I checked it out.
And loved it. And then in someone's signature they had an explosm comic.
So I checked this place out.
And thanks to explosm I now found The Best Page In the Universe.
