I think the jokes being forced adds to the comedic effect, I think that was a pretty funny attack, even though the joke was simple

Jeez, I realize how incredibly lame this is, especially considering that I pushed to postpone the tournament, but I gotta withdraw, guys. Some shit came up and I simply won't have enough time to finish the comic, much less continue on with the tournament. So, me and Tiki-Tiki will be withdrawing. Sorry, guys.
