Why do we not have an "Animation" tag?

Anyway...

Supposed to be the stories between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, chronicling Batman's development. Well, according to the box. It didn't chronicle anything resembling development.

Meh... Pretty boring, actually. None of the stories are very interesting, and lacks action. The Dead Shot segment was quite good, though. Reminded me of an old Animated Series episode. But everything else was uninspired and not too interesting. If you get it, get the two-disc edition, so that you can get Bruce Timm's selection of favorite episodes from The Animated Series, featuring The Legends of the Dark Knight, in which a couple of stories are told, one from an old 50's comic book, and one from Frank Miller's "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns". I don't believe that episode is on any of the volumes.

But, uh, don't believe the hype. Or don't believe me. I just thought it was really boring.

I'd like to say that the visuals were stunning: 9/10

The bonus features rocked: 8/10

Stories?: 4/10

Overall: 5/10

I just watched it, and I reckon the stories were awesome. Animation was the best part of it though. I liked the stories and action, but uninspired is probably a good choice of words. Kind of half-hearted development to showcase the animation. But makes Batman so much more kickass.

So this is like a Batman version of the Animatrix? Pass.

I'd say its more than that.

I'm going to pick this up pretty soon. It's animated so my expectations aren't too high.

I watched them, and I really wasn't feeling it. The storylines were so terrible. And if the purpose of them all was to show Batman's development? I didn't see any difference at ALL. And some of them were so boring that I almost stopped watching.

It could have been done much better.

But the animation style was pretty cool.

No, no. He pretty much hit the nail on the head.

But better, right? I hope so.

Meh, only because Batman is better subject matter and has Kevin Conroy. Still not very exciting.

I was going to go buy this but a lot of people keep saying it sucks so now all I'm going to do is just rent it.

I was really looking forward to this movie. All the guest directors and Conroy made it seem like it would be solid. I watched it last night and fell asleep halfway through, I almost never fall asleep during movies. It was ok, some of the differentiation in animation styles was cool, but overall I was less than impressed.

I was saying that's what I said before I bought it. I love the animated series, so Conroy voicing had me sold. But then... Disappointment.

Oh shit, I get you now.
Fuck that bad huh?
Hmm, I still might check it out, but only if I can borrow it.
I'm not throwing away my own money.
