View Full Version : San Diego!
Just a reminder that all of us Explosm folk are spending our days at The San Diego Comic Convention all weekend at booth #2646
We're selling shirts from $10 to $15. If you said "Golly! That's cheap!" then you should probably stop talking to yourself and come over to get some spiffy shirts, free doodles, and talk to us.
Once again, Booth #2646 is where all the cool kids are.
Be there!
Wee!
So you guys got your own booth this year then? Or are you with TN again?

I'm pretty sure if they find a really big guy getting a little girls shirt, whatever they scribble will be hilarious.

If someone goes there and says "Golly! That's cheap!" they should get a discount.

They're sharing a booth with Tomorrow's Nobody.

Rob got me sick and I lost my voice half-way through yesterday. I'll be making a late appearance today as I'll be spending most of it nursing a gallon of OJ in an attempt to stop myself from sounding like a duck going through puberty.

One of you guys drew my friend a picture of a robot killing people with the caption "Love Bot learns to Hate". 5 minutes after we left the booth she turned to me and said "Shit, when he asked me what I'd like him to draw, I should have said "How about a picture of your phone number""

'Sup, I was the Fire/Bee Mario cosplayer who got five sketches. I hope I didn't annoy you guys or anything by asking for so many... But they were so good... Oh, and if Matt sees this... I'm sorry for saying that you were my least favorite... I really like your humor, but I don't like the art style... I hope to see you guys next year, and make your hands bleed even more.
It didn't annoy me so much. I just hope you realize how much stuff there is to do at Comic-Con and that you spent about three hours in line to get drawings of stick figures.

Also, his money was really sweaty.

Matt, you should have taken what I said out of context. It's funnier that way. And I do realize how much time I spent at your booth... I want my time back. Now.
It didn't annoy me so much. I just hope you realize how much stuff there is to do at Comic-Con and that you spent about three hours in line to get drawings of stick figures.
Last year there was no line.
Remember me, Rob? It took me about 2 minutes just to come up with something for you to draw? It ended up being potatoes.
For the record, it took so long because I was trying to think about something that you had never made a comic of.
And then I handed you y submission for guest week in hope that it would boost my chances of being selected.
It didn't.

No, it stung like the rejection you feel when the one girl that you want to be with coldly declines your invitation to the school dance and you were so hopeful you even prepared to conversation notes and put a down payment on a limo, the good one with the slushie machines that come in more flavors than cherry and blue raspberry and you made sure to get cups that were her favorite color and you got the old type of Mr. Pibb, not the new one, because she doesn't like Pibb Xtra, and you pray to every God you know about just to be on the safe side and she still says no... But you still love her and go through her trash anyways...
That's how it stung.
