I just got a 360 and I have a few questions I need answering. First of all I got a arcade pack with two controllers, a small memory card and 3 games (one being GTA).
Q.1: Should I get a hard drive?
I have been thinking about this one a lot. Its very expensive and I'm not too sure if I would use it a lot. But I'm not too sure what it does ect. I know it enables you to play xbox games but I don't own any. I have also heard that you loose your warenty if you get a hard drive. Also if I do get a hard drive should I get a 20 gig or wait for the 60 gig?
Q.2: The Play and Charge kit.
Right now I don't have a recharger and like I have already said I have two controllers. Aparantley the play and charge kit works for two controllers somehow. Is this true and how do you do it?
Q.3: Any great games that I should buy?

Q.4: Anything else I should know about/ should buy?

So if you need a hard drive, I'm assuming you got the 360 core? If you got the normal one and are thinking about the 120 gb hard drive, I dont think its worth it, but just a normal hard drive if you don't have one is recommended.

I don't have the play and charge kit but I have the normal one where you just plug the packs in like any other normal rechargable batteries. It comes in handy definately, since constanly buying batteries is a huge hassle

As for games, depends what you like. FPS? Racing? RPG?

I wouldn't bother buying a hard drive until you run out of space.

1)You should just pick up the 20 gig because your gonna run out of space after a few game saves.
2)The play and charge kit is basically just a wire that hooks into the 360 and the controller and charges the battery while you play. It only comes with one rechargeable battery.
3)I would suggest just picking up about one game since a whole bunch of goods ones are coming out in the fall and winter this year. But I would suggest Gears of War since the second one is gonna come out soon and if you plan on buying it you should play the first one.
4)Just Xbox live

If you're a fan of Zombie movies, you absolutely have to get Dead Rising. If not, rent it.

I'd definitely suggest getting a HDD. I've used up 15Gigs of my 120Gigs.

I just found a 360 Elite in the closet, with my birthday coming up soon, I know it's obviously mine. Can somebody recommend me a game? I know it comes Marvel Alliance and another game, but I want something with replay. I was thinking Dead Rising, but I don't know how good the replay value is. I play COD4 and The Orange Box on the PC, so I don't need those for another system.

I'm just curious, why did you buy the arcade? They just had a price drop on all of the systems, so the 20 gig is only $30 more than the arcade ($299.99 for the 20). As for games, you can't really go wrong with halo 3. It really depends what you're into though, I can give better insight once I know what you guys prefer.

I don't know if this is well known, but I thought I'd share it with you. You can make custom background themes by uploading a picture to your 360 and press "Set as background". It is then automaticly saved in the custom themes section.
I've made a couple a few months ago, feel free to use them. On my TV the borders perfectly align with the borders on the dashboard, but I don't know if that's the case with everyone.

I got DOA and Project gothem racing. So I don't really want any racing games. But should I get a 20gig or a 60gig? Plus will the 20gig drop in price when the 60gig comes out?

Get EA Skate, it's a pretty fun game. It takes getting used to, I guess (it's a bit harder than Tony Hawk) but it's really great for just messing around. If you get Live and some friends it's also pretty sweet online.

Well if he plans on playing gears 2 he should play gears 1 because of the linked achievements.

Well its not achievements he miss out on it would be content. Because in Gears 2 the linked achievements unlock multiplayer characters.

It's a really good game if your into skateboarding. It kicks Tony Hawks ass, but I think #2 comes out soon. You may want to wait for that one.

I hired GoW. I'm probably not going to buy it now. It's been pissing me off a lot. Fucking Dom with his "Oh I'm not meant to run in the dark spots but why not?" while I'm pinned down by a turret. Then after revived he runs head first to the turret. So no other games and other hardware you guys suggest? I have heard good things about battlefield bad company. Or should I just save for my hard drive?

You should defiantly save for a hardrive and gears 2. Gears 1 campaign is terrible but Gears 2 is a lot more campaign focused.

It was ok but it was nothing special. I think they could have done much better then what they did. And I'm not saying that because I don't like the game I love it. I'm ranked in the top 500 for the leaderboards and use to be in the top 100.
