I think it's not that they increase your chance of STDs, but that the foreskin has a chance to get infected much like a regular old cut can. So no foreskin would mean no infection to it.

So, since there's no benefit, really, circumcision is basically just a barbaric act, originating from religious reasons, and it's a shame that people feel the need to slice off a part of a young babe's penis just because their family has done it.
