I was looking at one of the banners on top of the screen and happened to notice Acclaim's logo pop up. Is it me or I could have swore they went bankrupt not too long ago.

In case if you forgotten, Acclaim released games such as NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat, and Turok for home consoles.

I saw that too. I think it was for one of those free MMOs but I don't remember.

Acclaim is still around i think, you might be thinking of core productions.The ones who made the original tomb raider.

Crazy Taxi was really the only thing good that came from Acclaim.

Acclaim published Mortal Kombat I-III for SNES and Genesis, Midway handled development.

Since Acclaim Entertainment's 2004 demise, the Acclaim brand and logotype have been purchased and are now used by Acclaim Games.

Solution provided. They went bankrupt in 2004, and some free MMO company bought the company name and logo.

Acclaim went bankrupt years ago and the name was bought by Activision.
They've been doing MMO's, like Matt said.
I think they were working on a big one though.

It wasn't actually bought by Activision, it was bought by the guy who used to run Activision, before he switched over to "Acclaim Games" to make shitty MMOs.
