I probably sound like Captain Nerd right now, but holy crap I want this. I would love to play Bioshock or Oblivion in mother fucking 3-D. If only I had $500...

So what are your opinions on this?

I'm definitely going to start saving my money now, that looks fucking awesome. I wonder what Sims would be like in 3D :hmm:

Except I don't have to go outside.

Won't this affect gameplay? Making characters and objects seem closer than they really are?

I think it'd be creepy to watch life-like people do everyday tasks like pooping. Still pretty cool though.

You guys are all forgetting the true purpose of this new monitor. 3d PORN!

Wait, what does it do?
The website uses comic sans which automatically makes this product seem like shit.

Wow that is really cool but I wonder how well it would work with RTS's. I would think about getting it but I don't use my computer solely for gaming and it says it has a grainy quality because it isn't HD or regular LCD or something. I think I'd eventually get one for like 200-300 dollars but not 600. Not only that but I would probably spring for a bigger one because I mean come on... 3D.

I hate to break it to you guys, but according to amazon.com, "Get in the action now. Don't just watch it. Includes 3 pairs of iZ3D Glasses!"

So basically, what this screen does is.. You flip it into "3D" mode and it splits the display into an anaglyph image. So, it turns your game red and blue, and you put on 3D glasses and it seems 3D.

In essence, a huge crock of shit and not worth 600 dollars at all. I thought that it was going to do something like actually spit out a 3D image.

I was hoping for a real thing that shit moves past you, like hologram style or some shit like shit. This is shit, though. I bet it cost them an extra 10 cents per monitor to add a "3D function". Shitty merchandise, in my opinion.

Comic sans never lies.

This only supports certain games also.

It will probably not work with any game that ISN'T 3D originally (duh).
Also, note that many games that appear 3D aren't 3D at all.

Any 2D screens will always need some sort of glasses.
Any that didn't would probably cost way more than 10k since it would require head-tracking software and the ability to move every single pixel on screen to position it with your head (very fast as well)
True 3D screens won't appear for a long time, mainly when the nanotech boom happens. (at least a decade away)

This sounds as shitty as any 3d movie.

Yeah, I hate the future!!

It's only 600 dollars on Amazon. I was expecting more.
