I was just wondering if I should get this. It's been out for a few years so the price would have gone down a lot by now, plus I've never actually played the original Sonic Adventure. I have SA2B and I quite enjoyed it despite the sub-par controls. A lot of people say that Sonic Adventure was the last good Sonic game too.

And it can be bought for PC so yay/nay?

I say get it - you'll probably get a cheap copy of it for Gamecube that you could then play on your Wii. If anything it was superior to SA2B, it had a more free roaming approach that was quite nice and let you play as Sonic, Tails, Big the Cat, Amy and some robot, among others i believe.

Definitely worth getting if you can find it cheap.

Hell yeah, Sonic Adventure DX rules. It got shitty reviews on game sites but only because it was an exact port. If you've never played Sonic Adventure then you should definatley get this one, although I would suggest it for the gamecube only because of the controls. I personally liked Sonic Adventure 2 Battle more, only because it was the first one I've played (since it came out before SADX) and I just grew to like it. But SADX has some better moments than SA2B and it's uuuh...shinier, if that makes sense.

Uh, no. I owned the Gamecube version and it really is a shitty game. I honestly don't remember what was so shitty about it, but I do remember hating it passionately. I think I traded it in at EB and they gave me like five bucks of credit.

It IS a lot shinier - that's true. Also it was a bit less "samey" than SAB2 - the characters were more diverse than "Here's two sets of characters - 2 speedy ones, 2 robots and 2 diggers".

Its not as good as SA2, but it is leagues better than anything released after SA2

I like it, and I don't remember what they're called but you can raise these little things and they're just so adorable. :hmm:

This is pretty much the way I feel about the gamecube sonic adventure battle or whatever it was.

Dx was ok, but sadly the best sonic so far is Sonic CD, if you get a chance...

You mean Chao's!
The Chao Garden itself is a reason to own the game!

Who means Chaos? And i'll admit they were an addictive addon, spent more time making an evil/good one than i did on the actual game

Niki does i believe. Exactly, i can't remember exactly but one of the games had a heaven and hell. Or maybe they both did - I forget.

Yes, those! I loved them so much, they were the main reason I played.

Sonic adventure is a good game. Personally i like the older side scrolling games better but the 3d version was fun. I just wish sonic didnt act like a bitch in that game

Seriously, I haven't given two shits about a Sonic game since Sonic & Knuckles. I just don't get it how it's appealing anymore.
