View Full Version : Shadowrun
Have any of you played this game? If you havent any idea what I'm talking about, basically its just an FPS shooter with magic and gadgets combined. But its not as if its cheap or anything, the magic provides a new tactical type of gameplay.
I was surprised I never played it before hand (i just got it 3 days ago).
Anyway, have any of you played this? If so, what do you love about it, what do you hate about it?
I love everything about it mostly. The only thing I truly dislike is the lack of an actual single player campaign, but you can tell the main focus was online play. Oh and don't forget you can play with people who have Windows Vista or XP.
Anyway, yeah discuss.
I got the demo but it was pretty standard stuff. While I did play online, it was mostly forgettable and the only fun part was flying around the level swinging swords n shit.

I played it on Sega Genesis.
A few other Explosmers and I played the demo with each other, and while it's fun, it gets pretty boring and the battling doesn't make much sense ("DURR I SHOT YOU IN THE HEAD WITH A SNIPER BUT UR SHOTGUN FROM 100 YARDS AWAY KILLS ME?")
It's not worth the money, even if it is like $20 right now.

It's fun in that it's somewhat unique, but the content isn't deep enough which means it gets boring after a week.

My brother bought it and hasn't played it once. Its not a bad idea, but, I donno, it lacks something that makes you WANT to play the game.

It's actually one of my favorite games. But I joined in a little too late, and not many people play it anymore.
I liked the idea of tech, magic, and whatnot combined into a shooter/tactic game. It was loads of fun. I miss it so much.

I only bought the game because it was dirt cheap pre-owned. A lot of average reviews around so I guess I'll just play it for achievements.

Your post confuses me. Was it wicked, or gay?

You'd like Hellgate London for the first hour or so, then. After that it's fucking repetitive as hell.

I got everything I wanted from it in the free demo :P Nobody on my friends list actually bought the game.
You guys are nuts, I don't find it repetitive at all. Though one thing pisses me off is when you're playing with PC players and they don't use mics or anything and they decide to kill you from behind with katanas causing you to bleed out. and they keep doing it.
That's fucking annoying.

That's because you just got it 6 days ago.

The game has a good concept because it brings together two different game genres, shooting and whatever has magic in it. The only problem is that the game itself isn't very good.

Did they ever fix the ladder glitch?
It was like Halo 1, you just walk up the ladder.
