I highly doubt those are the specs, you list about 10 processors and 20 graphics cards.

Sorry, that must be the options for the specs (it seems to be pretty damn customizable).
EDIT:Fixed original post now.

The specs are not that bad, but personally I think Alienware is overrated some of the times. I think you can get a better deal somewhere else, but if you have the money to spend and are tired of looking that should not disappoint you.

If you want something better than that but for less cash, build your own computer. Just look online for some tuts on how to build a computer that way you know what your getting and your gonna save some money to. Personally I think Tigerdirect is the best, just look for barebone kits that way you know what your getting is compatible.
But really with Alienware you kinda paying for the name and the case, but if that works for you go for it

I was basically going to say this. If you buy the parts it will be so much cheaper.
No it isn't unless a case with auto paint on it is worth $2000 to you.

Pretty much. Half the time the only reason I'd ever suggest buying alienware is if you have a shitload of cash that you don't need. It'd be cheaper to even buy another comp with the same specs. Alienware always chargers more than everyone else.
Designer computers are never worth the cash.
I just pieced together that Alienware using NewEgg to price the parts, and it came to $372 USD not including the motherboard and the case.
You were about to pay about $1318 USD. Subtract about $60 for whatever low grade motherboard it undoubtedly has, and you're still paying like $900 just for pretty lights.
Alienware is not a good deal. Building your own computer is extremely easy, and there are a number of guides online. The computer I'm on right now was my first build, and I've done two others for friends since then. Look into it!
If you really don't want to build your own, look into Dell or HP for a gaming rig that isn't quite as overpriced.

Pretty much everything Rob said. The only pre-built computers that are even close to cheap are Dells (at least in my experiences).

I have a personal hate for dells with their "deals", that aside.
Seriously just go to you local store like OfficeMax (only reason I say that is because I work their and I know when to buy stuff(no I don't get a employee discount)) I bought my laptop just some quick specs, 3GB ram, 250GB hard drive, dual core processor 2ghz, 14" screen, Vista Home premium and I got it all for $620 USD and we are selling a Quad Core 2.4GHZ, 640 GB HD for $599.
Not to sound like im advertising but I'm just saying when things go on sale at local stores, it is usually better than what you can find online. But still building you own computer is better overall because then (if you want) you are buying quality parts.

Not at all worth it. Pre-builts are all a bit of a rip off, but Alienwares even more so. Dell is the same company, and provides the same support and everything, but has lower prices. If you aren't going to build your own I would recommend a Dell over an Alienware.

Oh, I don't know if you know. Dell owns Alienware

You will most likely not be happy with a Dell or HP, you really should look into building your own rig.

Building your own computer is probably the best decision you can make; you get exactly what you want for a reasonable price. If you really want to, I'll try and help you if you need it.

Honestly, try building it yourself. Like Rob the computer I am on was my first build, and I didn't come across any problems. Plus you get the satisfaction of building something yourself.

Ah, but the guy who will help me will show me everything on one he is building so i can go and do it myself with a little more know how and confidence (plus i am always 'that guy' who manages to fuck up something like this.)
Yeah, I Don't blame you, I'd look for some help; I recruited my computer teacher to help me.
