View Full Version : List of threds you've posted in
Hello
I'm just wondering what you guys would think about some kind of system that kept track of threads that you had commented. The system would help people, like me, to find back to threads and discussions in an easy way.
All the threads you post in will be listed in a separate menu with, lets say, ten threads maximum. When you want to check back on the threads and read new posts you just click on the thread =)
This system is used by other forums and it works
Go alx =)
Or you could just go look at your posts.

Try clicking "Account" at the top of the page.
It's the first page you are taken to when you log in. :ahe:

I'm going to start cheering myself on at the end of my posts like that.
Go me! I'm awesome!

That's the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard.

No, that's Subscribed Threads. Nothing shows up there for me.
Anyways, alx- you're an idiot. Just use the search function.

It must be pretty hard to keep track of all the threads that you've posted in, considering you've made a whopping 10 posts.

How about this: Go here (http://forums.explosm.net/search.php). Put your name into the box that says 'Finds posts by user', and click search. Voila.
I think, Charlie, you have the auto-subscribe thing on. Because there is one of those, I am pretty sure.

I guess that would be a way to do it, just subscribe to the threads.
You'll get a stupid amount of emails from it, but if you can't be bothered to just look for the threads yourself, then just deal with it. I mean, when you click the "New Posts" link, the threads you have posted in get a little dot in them (http://forums.explosm.net/images/statusicon/thread_dot_hot_new.gif). Just use that.

This. Or left click your name next to one of your posts and there will be an option that says "find more posts by this user" or something. The functions already there.

When you create a thread, there is an option to subscribe to it. Simple as.
This is a good idea and thread.
Go alx =)
Hey, how about we implement an option to view the list of threads you've posted in. It's a good idea, guuuuys!
I think, Charlie, you have the auto-subscribe thing on. Because there is one of those, I am pretty sure.
I have this on. It subscribes you to any thread you posted in, allowing you to track the progress of that thread. Turn email notifications off and you're sorted. Chumpersand
I just read everything that looks remotely interested because I have nothing better to do.

Reason: Shit post. You should know better.
When I first started here I thought it was lame there wasn't a thread tracker. There is at the forum I'm actually active at and it helps alot.I've never bothered with the thread subscription. But since I'm not here much I just go look for the threads I've posted in.

Just take a little extra time and search for the threads yourself.
It's not like your time is valuable or anything.

Once again we'll have to bring back up the fact that you've made a whopping 19 posts, so it's not going to be that hard to find your posts, really. I assume you didnt think this idea through, considering everyone has the same response for you.
