Okay, so I put the link in first thing so I wouldn't forget this time. (http://www.sectionzmusic.com/detail.asp?SZID=27702)
Gentle, fuzzy, warm electro bear-hug music. For our special someones.
Any thoughts?

I liked it. It isn't what I'd normally listen to, but it was good nonetheless.

I like this happy electro music stuff. It was good.
I think the lyrics were a tad cheesy, though, although I guess it can't be helped with the subject material.

As a fan of most of what you do, I have to say I don't like this one. Here are my reasons:
1. It sounds like the Spore soundtrack... it's kind of generic and doesn't really ever jump out at you.
2. Your vocals are quiet and hard to hear.
3. You can do better than this, and I've heard it.
I don't know, I just don't really like this style. It's well done for a pop song, but that's really not saying much.

Honestly, I could really see it as an acoustic song. If you did that, made the vocals stronger, and added some light percussion (not synth) then it would be really solid. Although, I must admit, the lyrics are a bit cheesy and repetitive, maybe add a new bridge and verse or something? It would liven things up a bit. It reminds me a lot of The Postal Service.

Sorry to hear that.
It reminds me a lot of The Postal Service.
You're only the 1 billionth person to think that about my music. I'm not even kidding, though :S What you said about the lyrics... I think if I were to make it an acoustic song like that then the lyrics would need to be less repetitive. What I'm (hopefully) doing with this right now is letting the sleepy-time melody and fast, clicky rhythm drive the song along, with the vocals as emphasis of the context. Or something.
Metalmessiah, despite their overall negativity I really do appreciate your comments. I can understand not liking the style because it's certainly unlike almost all my solo stuff. The vocals do need to be louder, thanks for the heads up. As for the Spore OST comparison I can't say I know where you're coming from having never played the game.

The fast clicky rhythm and the bass is the reason it sounds similar to the Postal Service. I didn't think the vocals were too soft, it felt like I was being sung to sleep. A lot different than your other stuff, but still good.
