With a spinning mirror, these guys can display 3D images from reflections off of a screen. Pretty amazing, especially the last one, of the guy running. What do you guys think?

Das hot.

Although, I have doubts if that's real. Still pretty cool.

Also, nice avatar. :heya:

Dude, holy shit, dude!

HOLY SHIT!

That is incredible, great find. Are we on the way to holographs?

Oh I do.
But yeah, television, movies, videogames, chat, all kinds of stuff could be done with this.

Oh shit, I hadn't even thought of video games.

Damn! That would be awesome.

Glurf

It would be awesome, you would need a way bigger mirror though. I can't wait till this stuff becomes available for purchase.

Imagine Wii technology plus this?

It's be like real life, but with much less fresh air and babes!

Dear god you're right!
I know I would be stuck to this thing.

If you need fresh air, just open a window or something.

Alternatively, you can spray Febreeze everything.

Babes? Who needs those?

Bring a barf bag because that thing rotates pretty quickly.

I've seen that in person somewhere. It's really cool. It's so mezerizing but it tends to be alittle bit louder than you think.

I'm not convinced. Whan the camera moves, the image seems to jump around, like it was badly tracked.

Is there any more info on this?

Glurf

None that I know of. Those guys say they've seen it in person though.

It could just be a frame rate problem then. But regardless, who really wants to be near a pane of glass spinning at that rate.

Seeing a cool projected 3D image like that, I'd be inclined to reach out and touch it.

I'm on my way to masturbating to 3D digital porn.

If this is real, that's really cool and I want one.

EDIT: I searched around, and it's definitely well-known. I'd say this is legit.
Googled "3D spinning mirror" if anyone wants to take a look.

Hell. Yes. When will we see holograms (or whatever) that we can feel?

Well, there was that thread awhile ago about a different kind of hologram. Groups of miniature lasers converge on a point in midair, superheating it into a glowing plasma. Lots of these points put together created a hovering, glowing image. Very hot to the touch, though, so you'd definitely feel that :ahe:

Anyone remember what I'm talking about?

I love how man's mind works.
As soon as I saw it my brain went like this:
Holographic Porn.
Holographic Games.
Then I come back to the thread and it's followed the same line of thought.
EDIT: The models go:
Person
Tie Fighter

Apparently a man's in charge there too

Imagine what little kids will do.

I think the French won't adopt it. You're not gonna get very many cigarettes or car tyres for a kid who has lost a hand to a spinning mirror.

That was pretty damn cool. I JUST worked it out and it actually makes sense.
