That's really good. Her eyebrows look like sperm, but apart from that it's amazing.

...Yes they are. But it was nice work, nonetheless.

Seriously though, I was trying to make her eyes look a little "loopy", hence the spirals. "Puppy dog" or similar was not my goal. Maybe I'll have more control over such eyes next time, if any.
(Interesting?) fact to further the stupidity of her name: "Boku Derangusu" is just an attempted Japanese spelling of "Beacoup de langues". Then I found out Derangu was a place in Iran.
That's actually very cool. Though there seems to be something wrong with the perspective at the back end of the needle.

Thats not to shabby at all, much better than any of my attempts. Nice detail on the syringe but yeah, i think there's something a tad wrong with the plunger footer. I like the eyes too. I took it as a crazy stare. But yeah, the chin doesn't look right and the neck looks like you stopped caring. That said, nice work.

Lol, chin
I guessed pointy chins accentuate ANIME but it looks like I was wrong.

Ya there's alot I like about it and alot I don't like. Like the hair at the back just looks all messy =/
I think the chin does accentuate anime, but not when it's that pointy. I think you over-pointed it.
The shading's all awesomegood and the overall idea was cool.

Wait a minute - Why is the chin too pointy? Why is everyone focusing on this? Why aren't the eyes too large or the nose too small? That's quite interesting. The same thing happened when I drew a character whose hands and feet were too big. :fmita:
Convention deviation is fun

I think its because most anime styles have more curvished chins. The eyes and nose are like normal anime.

Those tutorials (http://www.bakaneko.com/howto/head/female/index.html) were lying!
Whoa, now I understand even less. There's quite a few of 'em.
See, it just really irks me when I'm hindered by having to stick to a style. Of course, you might then ask, what am I doing trying to draw anime then? But even anime, as much as it sucks, has a little variety of chins.
Here's my main point: It irks me even more when there's a particular quality in a character that someone hates, even when I'm not trying to stick to a style. How do I know if I should change it, or if it should stay? I mean, I could just do everything everyone asks me to, but then I find that the character becomes very dull. I hope in the end, people aren't so turned off by variety.

You have a point there. But, its pretty hard to comment on someones works when their trying their own variation on a pre-existing style. Comments would probably try and point it back to the norm. Additionally, maybe if the picture was a full complete image (head and body) the chin wouldn't stand out so much. Or a safer bet, disregard I said anything!

Who cares if the chin is pointy? That's how he wants to draw it.

I only mentioned the chin because I thought you didn't mean to do it. Other than that, you make a good point.

Why does she have a keyhole where her nose should be?

Oh. :frown:
Well in any case, there's no 1 way to draw anime. I look at what you drew and I don't think "big eyes, pointy chin, flamboyant hair", I just think "anime". Looks fine to me. In fact, the only disconcerting thing about her, in my opinion, is her swirly pupils. I think she'd look better if they were just regular, solid ones.

Convention deviation is fun And you still didn't learn to draw right when corrected on the feet and hands of another creation? J/k
Just one thing, why the novelty large syringe?
And the eyes aren't too large as it is anime, and the idea of anime is to over exaggerate body parts is it not?

I thought it had to be anime-ted to be called anime.
