Canada needs more holidays. Apparently we get fewer days off than the Brits or the Americans, and worse yet, my province has the fewest holidays out of the entire country.

It's a nice relaxing end to the summer. Or if you aren't working, at least you feel somewhat good for the day because everyone else has off too.

Labour Day is the product of a strike in Australia sometime where workers demanded 8 hours work, 8 hours sleep and 8 hours play, or something.

It is a day to relax, not to celebrate work.
