Arielcz: Maybe it would be better if it was somehow implied that he was gay while the tattoo artist was giving him the tattoo. Or something like that.

Tip: If you have a similar setup to my comic, (two panels per row) then put '...' in panels that have nothing but an awkward pause. This is so that the reader's eyes do not ignore the panel because they don't sense any text there.

Lissa: Awesome as always. Keep it up. There's really nothing I can critique since, I pretty much consider you Queen of comics anyway. Good joke, nice art, great execution.

Shagg: Pretty good, the joke wasn't hilarious but it was funny enough. Art and the way you portrayed the joke were awesome though.

Arielcz: Awesome fucking art, and very good jokes. However try working on execution. Jokes aren't as funny if you explicitly state the punchline, instead try to imply it. Comics are a visual medium, remember that.

Upchurch: I don't know if you drew it before Lissa posted hers, but you shouldn't have post it when you saw hers. It looks like you just kind of copied her.

Savaril: Like what you're doing with the art, very minimalistic. However that shifts focuses to the actual joke, which you seemed to forget to put in the comic. I know you can do better, but that comic sucked.

JontheNinja: Your comics are awesome, but this one was kind of predictable. For beginner comic artists to use cancer or AIDS joke is all right, but I expect a bit more originality from seasoned artists (if not "seasoned" at least "established").

Hatsof: The joke wasn't all that good, the art was ok. I've seen you do better. Hope the next one is better.

Rai_Yan: Cool art, and good joke. It would be better without the last panel. Same thing I said to arielcz, remember that comics are visual (as in don't focus solely on text for lols). I've never seen your comics before though, it's fucking excellent if it's your first joke.

MusicalIdiot: kind of disappointed, you can do way better. Joke was eh, and I didn't really like the SMBC format. As I said I expect more originality from seasoned artists.

Overall this thread is awesome so far, no comic that have made me want to slam my head in the car door (which is quite an accomplishment for a fanart thread).
I want to make a comic so bad, but haven't thought of any joke I deem worthy so far. I recommend others follow my lead. Keep this going guys.

I just want to fill in some more to our potential newcomer Rai_Yan. I liked your comic a little bit, but it feels like something is missing. I would have made a line for the "sucker" in the last frame, something like: "Eel is a delicacy in the northern part of New Zealand" That's just my own opinion, though.

Also, save your comic in "PNG" to keep the quality better.

No, but you're right, mostly. I thought Lissa's was pretty good, but it worked because you knew it was coming, so what was funny about it was the other stuff.

Edit: Oh yeah, and Happy, not a bad comic, but a bit obvious. Maybe if you hadn't mentioned the hangman's knot in the first panel it would have worked a little better.

Deflicted: Not bad, but I'd get rid of the little caption. Sometimes those captions instead of adding to the joke end up being the comic equivalent of saying "get it, because she's grabbed his penis." Also, I don't think that's really a euphemism.

It's a reflection of my sentiments concerning "you had to be there" stories that could potentially be funny when witnessed, but not funny whatsoever when looked back on through conversation. In other words, don't waste my time with pointless stories. However, the joke is that the random guy was killed by the listener for obviously wasting his time with a really stupid story and the gravestone says "You had to be there." so that there is a bit of irony. Thank you for forcing me to explain a joke and absolutely destroying any humor it might of had with this paragraph.

Jon Im getting sick of having to click on your comics every time because they're too big, and when I've clicked one time it's even too big to see the text and I have to watch it in the direct link. Even though it's worth it because your comics are kinda fun sometimes, it's possible to make your comics in a size that fit the table, because they dont have that much detail that would be needed for a 1400x700 scale

Sana, that's not that bad. The joke was fairly moderate, but the art was fairly well done. I like how you drew the brown guy's face in the third panel. Had you drawn the psp yourself, it would have been better, but it's still pretty nice.

That last panel needs to be rewritten. No idea myself, but it seems to take away from the joke. Boner jokes are old as well. Don't do them.

I think this thread would work better if we abandoned the "fan art" part. I think people can get more satisfaction out of their work if they develop their own style, and satisfied work is generally more entertaining. So everyone wins.
