It is a one-panel webcomic done more or less daily by Chris Hallbeck, with the main and sole character one Biff- being of the genus Biff, Biff has somewhat yellow skin, long, distiguished-looking eyebrows and usually appears disgruntled at something or other. Biff comes up with unusual solutions to his day-to-day problems, has unusual problems and comes up with tricky solutions and, more often than not, gets himself blown up or injured severely in the process.

Biff Belvin?

BKS sees a trend in all these comics.

Eh, I used to read them. Some of them are ok, but they're repetitive for the most part, so it isn't really worth the effort.

I don't understand.

This is a common reaction; really, even the people who participate in its forums don't know what's going on.

If it helps, though, think of it like The Darwin Awards with longer eyebrows.

I don't think it's that great. The jokes leave a lot to be desired.

Seen it posted on SMBC before, they are really not very good.

Meh. The first three made me chuckle a bit, but after that I was just like, "what?"

I do get it, it's just not all that funny at all. At least if C&H publish a not so funny comic, they just make it grotesque to get a laugh, I respect that cheapness.

They're okay, but aren't all that amusing.

God damn it assface, you edited your post and tried to make it seem interesting and it's just going to disappoint people more than the original post did.

God damn it assface, you edited your post and tried to make it seem interesting and it's just going to disappoint people more than the original post did.

You have to admit, though, that it's a lot more helpful than "Read it. Read it now."

By the way, if anyone for some weird reason is reading this before clicking the link, there is one major aspect which isn't mentioned in the OP: in over 600 comics, the author has never deviated from the format of a single picture with a narrative caption at the bottom. Biff is the only sapient being yet to appear in the pictures, and the author has stated intentions to keep it that way. Of the six nonsentient organisms to make appearances, one was a monster in his filing cabinet, one (well, one swarm) was an insectoid designer phone, and the rest were toasters. The keys who mistook Biff for a diety have yet to be categorized. Despite this format (or perhaps because of its making the comic as a whole unique) there are about 10,000 regular readers. I don't know if this is because Chris Hallbeck really makes it work or because there are just that many people who react to oxygen in the same way most people react to marijuana. It could just be that the comments below the comic are just that fun to read (they are, by the way). If The Book of Biff still sounds appealing to you, readers who still haven't clicked the link, I and the rest of the fans will welcome you with open arms. All four of you.

Drawing a picture with a few words isn't that hard, in fact it's probably a lot easier.

That took me about a minute. It's just as entertaining as the biff stuff too.

That actually reminded me why I used to keep up to date with the comics. I liked reading his comment below it, which usually contained an anecdote of something that happened to him related to the story. As stupid as the comics may be at times, that kept me interested.

Eh it wasn't really all that funny. It seems like he's trying to be too random. Trying to scratch an itch with two scary hand puppets? More stupid than funny

Not how you tell that joke, it ain't. Literally anything can be made funny: it's all in how you say it. (http://www.mspaintadventures.com/) You do not have this gift, and judging by the strength of your reaction to something as harmless as a minor webcomic, you're probably not going to be in customer relations any time soon either. My liking Biff should not anger you so much, and Biff's existence certainly shouldn't. We can all tell you don't like the comic; move on and calm down.

Niki

Because that is an honest effort to be funny, and not a shitty example made in literally less than a minute in ms paint.

There's really no delivery over the internet, that's like talking about a tone of voice of an instant message.

Even if they were funny, those eyebrows annoy me too much to bother looking at any more than 1 or 2 of them.

in retrospect, the lines in biff are a lot smoother, but 10/10 for your use of irony.

I've looked at these before, and smirked, but nothing more. I'd say, on a webcomic scale of 1-10... 4/10

"How you say it" in this case obviously means context and phrasing, not tone. Those are just as important to delivery: "I have ADD, but am in denial" is not funny by any definition (unless one considers the irony of someone admitting to something that they claim to be in denial of, but we aren't counting that), but "People say I have ADD, but they just don't Hey, a chicken!" is considered funny enough to wear. Humor lesson free of charge.

Speaking of webcomics and unfunny, here is something to feast your eyes on.

http://www.undefined.net/1/0/

1/0. It's a comic. It's not funny but it's interesting to see the characters try to create a civilization or whatever the fuck they do. It ended in like 2003 or something.

Compared to Biff, that is hilarious.
Everything is hilarious with that comparison though.

That's actually not funny at all, it just makes anyone over the age of 12 think you're a retard.

I should have put a sad face on the stick figure.

If that were the case, and you understood it, I'm sure everyone else would have managed quite easily. This is just like the South Park thread, you're reading WAY too much into it.

Agreed. I don't think the creator was tackling any huge issues like that in his mind when he thought up Biff. He was probably thinking something like: "Maybe a guy with huge eyebrows that messes stuff up. Yeah, that'll work." It obviously didn't work.
