Hey, I played guitar for about two years then quit for a couple to get into drums, now I'm totally horrible at guitar and wanna learn again. I've pretty much forgot everything I knew so I'm gonna need some real good help. Anyone got any websites, good practice techniques, or songs to play to build skill back up?
I'm really digging my "First Lessons For Guitar" book by Julio Sagreras. It builds up concepts really well. It's pretty steep though, so you may have to redo the earlier sections for a few days/weeks if you aren't coming from a musical background. It expects you to be a pretty good sightreader by like ten pages in.
I'd recommend it.

I've learned on the Hal Leonard guitar method. They do music books really well, it's what I'm learning bass with right now. I personally recommend that.

No he didn't.
Oh man, but imagine how much money they paid him.

Actually, the poster of the video isn't the guitar player, it's actually the company of the website. They just copied a video of a guy playing guitar, posted it again, and bullshited that he used their website.

Bert Weedon's Play in a Day. It worked for Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Sting, Brian May and Pete Townshend and it's working pretty well for me.
