It was totally FREE, nobody won absolutely NOTHING to do, formed by same passion to translate and bring the largest possible audience for the Explosm Comics. Not generated any profit, not for you, that got quite the international audience. And unfortunately this service has been cut by an absurd complaint, alleging copyright infringement. Firstly that no infringement because it does not make money with the comics, only translate to a public that is unable to understand the jokes in English. It doesn't matter that you didn't make money, you cost the copyright holder money and even if you didn't you've taken their intellectual property without their permission and worse, altered it in ways that intrinsically effect the nature of their property and displayed it as theirs without their permission. You're lucky you're not getting your asses sued to be honest.

Also I don't know what a 'TNX' is. Is it a kind of fruit? Are you offering fruit as reparations? Because I'd quite like some if you've got any going spare.

Not only was that hard to read, it wasn't a question. I see how it can benefit the popularity, but what good will it really do? It's an English based comic. I highly doubt that people who don't speak English will buy a T-shirt that they can't read.

If you wanted to support Explosm, why didn't you just link to Cyanide and Happiness and give a text translation on your site?

Aka, newest blog post would be:

First panel:
Doctor: "Okay, what's the problem?"

Second panel:
Patient: "I've got a song stuck in my head."

Third panel:
Doctor: "Yep! Looks like it's pretty deep in there!"

That way, your readers could just go to C&H to see the comic, and refer to your site to get the translation. You wouldn't be causing copyright infringement, you could have ads 'n' shit to make you a little money, and you would be directing readers directly to Explosm, which makes Explosm money and gives them a wider reader base. Everybody wins.
