I have noticed that with this site, most of the people who joined in January have no respect for the rules of this forum.

This is why I am proposing that the mods make it so you can only post on the real site after you post in a training camp like sub-forum first, a forum where only newbies can post and where they have to post for a set time.

Examples of why include:
http://forums.explosm.net/showpost.php?p=970961&postcount=372

http://forums.explosm.net/showpost.php?p=974366&postcount=49

http://forums.explosm.net/showpost.php?p=971950&postcount=138

Anyone else agree?

Also can you move this to the comment dump.

This is not a good idea. They should learn from their mistakes and if they can't learn from thatt hey shouldn't be here.

A TO is fine to teach the newbies what they're doing wrong.

I agree, but would it actually be helpful? I find that the TO's work pretty well...

No, a TO is like a training camp or whatever. 'Sides, when you sign up, don't they show you the list of rules? Of course people aren't following it, but there's not much else we can do. Most people straighten out after getting a TO.

Alot of times, they're just noobs that make dumb mistakes, like 'accidentally' making 2 identical threads in the wrong forum. And yeah, moderation is kind of slacking but it's not too much of a problem. Yet.

Most people think the rules are there just to be there, but once they see that the mods are serious about typing like a retard they straighten up.

I thought it dissuaded them from the forums and they just didn't come back.

Close this one. The other one was more funny.

This is the worst idea ever.
