He was fat and arrogant.
I'm arrogant, but not really fat. So he was better than me.

He had reason to be arrogant though...
RIP :frown:

RIP. Roots, Bloody Roots is the only thing he did that vaguely entertained me, still a shame though I guess.

I suppose it was expected - he was sick... He even cancelled a part of his farewell tour in Australia last year.
He had a great voice, even though he wouldn't have performed anymore, it's still quite sad.

Meh. He was old anyways, so it had to come sooner or later.
He's most well known for his singing in the Barber of Seville.
He's a interesting take on it.

He was a good singer, if you were into that stuff. It is a shame to see him dead at only 71.

Whether you were into it or not, he was a good singer.
How would you feel to sing at his funeral? Kinda daunting, no?

Well I don't know, Jesus getting us all off the hook was pretty rad.
And Hitler dying kind of lifted a weight, didn't it?
YES I JUST COMPARED PAVAROTTI TO JESUS AND THEN HITLER.
Seriously though, I'm oddly gutted about his passing. Guy was mint, or as mint as a 71 year old italian who looked like a fatter brian blessed could be, anyway.

Damn shame that is.
He'll be missed, he sang Nessun Dorma so well.

I agree.
Well, R.I.P. big guy
I heard about this and it is quite a shame. Though, I'm not all that familiar with him, but I did know his name whatnot. At least he's not in pain from the cancer anymore.

Pavarotti shaped me to become the man I am today. Rest in peace, you king amongst men.

There's a nice personal article here (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6981202.stm) by a guy who interviewed him a couple of years ago, it's quite sweet.
