Yeah, it had to be done, I know there are some video game fans here.. I didn't make this thread until now because I wanted to play a next-gen version as well (I only have a PS2) before I talked about it.. I haven't played it a LOT, but so far it's been pretty well. Though I have to say, I am a LITTLE disappointed. I thought there would be quite a bit more reinvented and redone, considering this is the first one where they've really had a chance to make it specifically FOR the next-gen systems (Madden 2007 was ported to Xbox 360, but it was just redone from the PS2 version). Unfortunately enough, it's much the same, with a couple new features. The PS2 has basically NOTHING new, except a mode where you can play fantasy football against the computer (AKA: Franchise mode with less players on your team and a different name). It also has a new mode called "Ring of Champions" I believe, which is basically an Achievement system for the PS2. When you do certain shit, it gives you a jewel on your "super bowl ring". The Xbox 360 version has a lot of the flaws that Madden 2007 also had, but a few upgrades as well.

I feel like this would be better if they spent more time on it.. NCAA Football 2008 felt like an awesome upgrade, but I think maybe they spent too much time on that, and just slopped together some new features for Madden 2008.. It's a good game, but it could be so much better.

I haven't played Madden 2008 yet, but I did try 2007. I might have a slightly different view because I own a Wii, but its really fun to play. This is just my hypothesis, but maybe they spent so much time working on the Wii controls they slacked off on the other systems.

I was disappointed in every version of Madden I payed this year because it just felt rushed and left me wanting more. I found the 360' version to be the best because it played the smoothest and felt like an upgrade the most.

I played the All-Pro Football and it plays much smoother and it it's just more fun but I'll take Madden for it's license.

It feels and plays a lot more like NCAA always has. This is good.
