I'm surprised that noone posted this up yet.

This is the 5th game in the Total War series, and probably the best one (besides Rome) too. The multiplayer with steam is excellent and a huge improvement over the shitstained gamespy counterpart. Visuals are amazing for an RTS and seeing the soldiers reloading or taking cover makes it feel more realistic. The campaign has also been improved to add more things in like a tech tree, trade routes that can be raided, regions have many farms and towns in them that count as seperate 'cities' besides just having one town. At las you can also play naval battles in real time besides just doing an auto battle. Overall I think this game will win best RTS for the year.

I had good times with Rome: Total War. I will certainly look into this one.

I've been a HUGE fan of the Total War series for a long time now.

My roommate just got this game and it looks incredible, but I'm beside myself because I highly doubt my laptop can run it.

I bought the game yesterday and spend some time playing some skirmishes and the campaign. It's amazing so far. The battles are as epic as they've ever been and the ship combat system is to die for.

It's more user friendly than previous Total War games, which is great but what's even better is that it remains as deep and feature-rich as ever.

It definitely earns NitRo's Seal of Awesomeness.

I got it yesterday, and I like it, but I'm having trouble with the graphics. My video card is awful, so I have to set everything low so that it doesn't lag. But doing this makes most of the text unreadable. It's really annoying.

Have to say i'm loving Empire, went straight into the Grand Campaign, and i like how it's all separate buildings for the resources etc... found that any warring Nations tend to just bounce from each of them stopping production, it's pretty intellegent.

Except one nation that broke alliance then wanted ridiculous sums of 100000 upwards to enter a state of peace .... needless to say my armies went marching. Apart from that had no issues what so ever.
