I just got one for my self yesturday and it's not too shabby. 8 gigs huge awesome touch screen and a nice built in speaker. The wifi is nice aswell, one touch access to YouTube live weather and even safari as a browser. He'll Im making this thread from mine right now. But one thing that really makes me mad is that if I buy songs thru my touch it stays on my touch. When I sync it it will list the songs under my touch's songs but I can't do anything with them. So I paid full price for songs that I can only use on my touch, I can't even burn them on to CDs.

Anybody else have one? What do you all think about them.

It sucked. It had shitty apps, shitty space, and shitty load times on the internet.

I got a classic now.

Your wifi must have been shitty then because mine goes pretty fast. As for size I only have less than 500 songs so I'm good :p. Combine that with 210 photos 6 videos and 1 full length movie I havnt even used half. For me the ape are not important, I only want something for songs photos and movies anyway.

Pretty dumb thing to buy if you don't care about apps, a nano with the same capacity is $130 cheaper. A classic with 15 times more storage is $10 more.

I bought it for the screen (size and touch capabilities) mainly, the apps are not important enough to spend any amount of money on, if you wanted something with aps buy a pam pilot. I wanted a MP3 player with a huge screen.

Why does a big screen matter for something used to listen to music?

The apps. Also has internet browsing, my sister has one.
The built-in speakers are pretty cool, she walks around the house like shes a walking radio.

Mine has a phone. (Hah.) Great device, I just wish they had more capacity.

I won't get a touch until the memory size goes up for me to change up from my 30gb classic.

I remember, there was this app where you can hear certain sounds, like the ocean, frogs, fire crackling, rain, and much more.
It was just really relaxing for me.

For me, I think the iPod Touch is an awesome piece of electronic.

Really, they are pretty much exactly the same, except the touch lacks the phone. That's almost about it, really.

and Thomas, did that app happen to be "White Noise"?

Yeah I quickly browsed thru the free aps the first night and found a few games mostly, and a kinda pointless background app. Found one game that made feel motion sickness lol But I saw a bunch for texting, data, tools, noises (light sabre, free fall detection, farting etc) I need to go thru the paid ones to see if theres anything really interesting.

That rings a bell. I'm guessing that's probably it.
I'm sure it had the word "noise" in it.

I plan on getting an Iphone instead of a touch. I just need to get my Chemistry grade up first.

It's true, I hear that they don't sell IPhones to kids with bad chemistry grades.
