DishWasher: Dead Samurai

If you've never heard of it, Dishwasher is an independant game made by one guy on the Microsoft XNA. Instead of being released on the Community Games market, it was moved over to the XBLA cos it's genuinely pretty cool. It's a 2D beat-em-up that came out today.

I played the demo, and wow I didn't expect it to be that good. The backgrounds look excellent and there's a load of 2D special effects all over the place that make all the attacks look mega cool, especially this one part where the house is burning down. There's more stuff to do than I expected, like you can throw guys, run up walls, teleport, upgrade everything and get new weapons. All the animation's really slick and hard with blood splashing out of guys n shit.

I don't know wether I'd pay 800 Microsoft Points for a full one, but maybe. Play the demo.

I was pretty hyped for this awhile back, but I don't really want to pay 800 MS for it. I was pretty impressed by the quality of the game though. That guy deserves mad props.

I bought it last night, if just to add a new arcade game, since theirs been a distinct lack of good titles out lately.

While I've only played the first level, its fun enough, and once I find someone to play co-op with, im sure it'll be great.
