Wikipedia says it's coming out in Japan in Autumn (Spring here in the Southern Hemisphere) this year, and it seems that there's about a 6 month gap between Japan and overseas releases. I guess you could wait the year to see if the price drops (the DS can only go down since the DSi came out).

I'm not really sure of the thought process they have going into the newer games? Why would you want to catch 10 legendaries anyways? Half of them you can't even use since they aren't that great.
