I cannot stand Twilight. Nor can I stand the new Dragonball Evolution movie. Watching the movie Dragonball Evolution was like passing a kidney stone the size of a baby elephant. Watching Twilight made me feel like clawing my eyes out. I understand the story of Twilight (although it is very cliche and has already been done several times) and it's a pretty okay story, but the movie was just horrible. The MOVIE Twilight sucked. Not Twilight itself.

I agree. Twilight could have been my cause of death, had I not decided to run out of the theater and get a refund. The sarcastic actors of the movie Meet the Spartans were better actors than the ones in Twilight. They didn't bother to explain the "love" the characters supposedly had for one another. My goodness, they were horrible actors! She had a "please don't rape me" kind of face instead of "oh, I'm in love" kind of face. They did a horrible job to show that Twilight was about love. It was just a bad movie.

Transformers. Really, I dislike all of Michael Bay's films, but it's common knowledge that Pearl Harbor, The Island and Armageddon are terrible films. It's just that everyone seems to excuse it for being a terrible film just because there's one scene where Optimus Prime stabs another Transformer with a shovel in the face. It's a great scene, but I still can't fucking see anything because the cinematography is so bad.

For me its the movies based off books. If I liked the book, I'm more likely to go see the movie, but then they change a bunch of stuff and I end up hating it. I know that you can't cram every detail into a two hour movie, but don't completely change some stuff.

Cremaster Cycle. It's possibly the most arty-farty, pretentious load of shit I have ever heard of, or had the misfortune of watching a portion of. And the dumbfuck critics loved it. Screw that, its possibly the most pretentious movie ever made. EVER.
There some movie I can't remember the name of that involved some sort of asteroid or something. It was set in Australia, but quite obviously filmed in america using, atrocious, american actors.
Aeon Flux. I never seen it until my dad rented it a few weeks ago. I fell asleep about 30 minutes into it and woke up right when the movie was over. It was just so boring. I dunno, I think I'm just starting to prefer R rated movies where the action isn't dulled down.

High school musical sucked, they're making a fourth( High school Musical 4: Pointless singing and sexually transmitted disease.)
Twilight just shat on vampires, "I don't melt like wax, nor do I get a horrible sunburn, I sparkle. Are you afraid of me? At least you don't look like the fucker without the receding hairline. People act like it's a crime that I could possibly not like one of his movies or not know anything about whatever he's got coming out soon. It's annoying as hell. Kill Bill was kind of bad, didn't really mind it all that much, though I found From Dusk To Dawn horrible, couldn't watch it too much. And pretty much all the artsy-fartsy movies that are supposed to be amazing, yet don't really make any sense unless you're tripping on LSD.

Yeah. When a movie is labled as a "comedy" then you would expect it to be funny, or at least have jokes. The jokes consisted of "Oh look the mall cop is fat" and, "Oh look the fat guy is a mall cop". It was just fucking boring. I wasted a lot of time watching this movie, when I could have ranted about other movies on the internet.

Frank Miller writes possibly the worst scripts ever. He also bastardized Batman on several occasions. He wrote some decent stuff early in his career, but anything after Sin City is pure garb. The Dark Knight Returns isn't even good.

The best reason I've seen for why video game movies don't work is that the interaction between you and the game is an active one, in which you have a direct response on what happens and influence it nearly completely, and a movie is passive, since you obviously don't do anything and the bitch still keeps on rolling, and most people expect an active experience out of a video game movie but only get a passive, leaving something to be desired, hence it doesn't work very well. Pretty much Resident Evil and, for me at least, Max Payne were probably the only ones I would honestly call any good, though Hitman was watchable. And the Doom movie doesn't deserve to ever be spoken of again, I know there wasn't much a script in the game, but seriously, at least make the main character by himself.

Recently saw 'Gran Torino' for the first time. Why was it rated so highly, that was absolutely, the worst acting I have ever seen from supporting actors. Granted Clint Eastwood was good, but every other actor ruined the movie completely for me. If anyone can recall the scene when the asian boy is locked behind that door? What was he doing? Expressing his inner anguish through interpretive dance?

And to add on about Resident Evil Movies
First one was pretty good, it had action, some similar videogame monsters, and it followed the game plot ok. EX. the train at the end was like RE2.
Second was my favorite, mainly because it takes you through Raccoon City like RE2+3 did. And it made it close tot he games. The overall story didnt follow the game, but it did have a lot of similar features of the games like nemesis.
Third movie. well, was complete and total bullshit. Story was stupid, the setting was bullshit, and there weren't many relatable figures to the game. The end was just disgraceful. I hated it.
If only Videogame-movies could be as well executed and thought out as well as the first two. But simply, they dont. Assholes.

Passchendaele. Other than being filled with a very large amount of needless dialogue, throughout the entire thing I could not get away from the fact that I was fully aware I was watching a movie. Every actor looked exactly like an actor wearing a costume. None of it looked real and even though it's based on a true war story and such, I felt absolutely nothing for it.
I hated Dan in Real Life. I know that people liked it but I hated it. It was too indie for its own good. By too indie I mean too gay.

You have to be completely void of any sense of humor to think that Napoleon Dynamite was funny. The only good part about it was the scene were he danced. That is all that movie was meant to do. A 2 hour build up to a nerdy kid doing a rather impressive dance. If I wanted to see that, I'd just watch the Evolution of Dance video on YouTube.

Tyler Perry movies.
I've just read that his new Madea movie topped the box office this weekend. Ugh.
You'd think blaxploitation would be on the decline or more criticism for it would arise, but nope, black people rush to the theatres to see yet another sassy, fat, black matriarch deliver some tough love while wacky antics ensue.
Shit's old, and was never funny other than "this-movie-is-so-obviously-aimed-at-stereotypical-black-people-that-it's-funny" funny, and that's deteriorated well into disgust and pity now.
I hated Crash. People made such a huge deal about it but it was so fucking boring. Oscar season pisses me off, people claim these incredibly deep and intellectual films are the best thing ever but it's just the same old trite, sentimental shit.
Na, Napoleon Dynamite sucks a whole load of ass. It's not funny, it's just equal parts failed surrealism and utter cringe.
I call bullshit, you've only watched the first 20 mins.

Any of those overly long movies with way too much dialogue that isn't even interesting. For example the Godfather, yeah I went there. I tried to watch the second one and eventually I thought, "My god, when is anything going to happen!" and I looked up and realised that about 40 minutes had passed, and I couldn't remember what any of the characters had talked about.

Tyler Perry films and any of these other cross-dressing black man films will never, ever be called blaxploitation. The only remotely new film that I would even consider blaxploitation would be Undercover Brother. The whole point of blaxploitation was embracing the black culture and giving blacks some sort of black pride. Up until blaxploitation almost every black actor was given a servant/maid/slave/whatever role. Blaxploitation changed that by giving blacks more power. They may have been pimps or black private dicks who are a sex machine to all the chicks but they took care of themselves and their communities on their own.
These new films are just a bunch of shitty jokes told by once funny comedians in fatsuits.
As far as Tyler Perry films go though, they generally raise a lot of money because they tend to through in a lot of drama and life lessons and all that other bullshit I can't stand. But yes, they are shit films.
But learn more about your damn genres.

That's like saying that any movie with kissing in it is a romance.
I had a friend who wanted to have a "chick flick" movie marathon because they felt upset, for some reason I agreed, she got out 'Crossroads' 'The Notebook' and 'The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants.'
I gave up on that friendship and went out and watched 'Sin City' instead. I prefered my choice.

Oh, excuse me for mistaking simple exploitation of black people for blaxpoitation, gee I'm dumb. And it's not like at all saying kissing makes a movie a romance, I'm not saying every movie with black actors or a black lead actor is a shitty trite movie, but if the cast is all black, and it includes a "mammy" stereotype, it's aimed towards black people and is mostly likely shitty.

I can completely agree with the fact that all these new movies are shit movies. However, they are not anywhere near the blaxploitation films which were being exploitive of the newfound black pride that came about in the late 60's.
These new ones are just shit movies following a trend because Big Momma's House made a couple million.

Juno. I really don't understand where it got all of its praise from. It wasn't funny at all. We get it. Juno (the character) is sarcastic. The movie also glamorized teen pregnancy quite a bit. "I may have been careless and gotten myself pregnant, but that's okay because I'll just give my baby up to the couple I accidentally tore apart and then I will be be able to sing Indie songs all day long with my boyfriend!" The parents in that movies pissed me off too. Not once did they yell at her.

I'm certainly not the first person to refuse to see certain movies. I strongly believe they are all shit and not worth my money. Many others who have seen them wish they hadn't waste those hours and dollars on them.
From the trailers alone it is plainly obvious that they are all pieces of shit.
Each to their own though. Maybe you enjoy over glammorised rubbish. Or movies centered around a single lame line.

They usually put out Christmas films around Thanksgiving. It puts people into the Christmas mood and the chances of an entire family going is much higher (so they would make more money).
But that movie looks stupid. I'm not sure why A Christmas Carol needs to be remade every 3 years.

He is only a big name that promotes the movie. An actor does not sound as good as a voice actor.
EDIT:
One other movie that made me angry is Die Hard 4. Not because it is bad, Die Hard 4 is awesome. But it is the proof they still can make good action movies, they just don't want to. (The Transporter is the biggest piece of crap and Casino Royale is only good if you stop watching after the first hour)

Every recent action movie I've seen has been utter trash. Transformers 2? It seemed like every single line from anyone other than the transformers themselves was a desperate attempt to be funny. Along with G.I. Joe which pissed me off because the previews I saw made it look really epic. Then when you get to the fight scenes they're always nine times longer than they need to be. Parry, block, parry, block, get into a little hold with a few cheap lines, parry, block, perry block. That also describes that entire last fight in The Hulk too.
Then there's good ol' Tyler Perry. Who still hasn't quite figured out that screaming obese black people stops being funny quickly, that doesn't mean you go and make several more movies and bad sitcoms!
Resident Evil 3 was an utter disappointment. I see it the first night it comes out in a theater completely packed, including five year olds way to young for the movie. Then someone goes on to their friend behind me about how Tyrant and Wesker were going to be in it. It started out halfway decent, then when Alice shows up and incinerates a few crows the entire movies quality just seems to plummet from there and just gets stupid and stupider. I'm not even going to watch the next one just because I know its going to be so far from its roots and be more along the lines of a scifi then a horror/action film.

Like Die Hard 4.0, Crank and... ok, you are right, that was pretty much it.

Besides Transformers those other movies actually looked like they had potential in their trailers.

I used to love the Twilight series. Like, LOVE it. But the more I read the books, the more I realized how absolultely RETARDED Bella was and how selfish Edward was. All the fangirls I've met paint Edward as this impossibly selfless dude, but he's the most selfish person I've ever read about/met. The movies just make things that much worse. Rob Pattinson is a dirtbag, plain and simple. Seriously, its called a shower. You might want to try some soap, too. Kristen Stewart is an unintelligent ditz that wouldn't know proper acting if it danced naked in front of her. Taylor Lautner, in my opinion, is the only decent actor in the movies. He portrays Jacob excellently. Attitude, physique and heritage. Regardless, I will still be going to the premiere of New Moon in my town on Friday. Just to satisfy my morbid curiousity.
