I can dance. The styles I know are swing, lindy hop, salsa, samba, rhumba, lyrical, popping, cha-cha, and waltz. Oh and the occasional bump and grind.

Dancing is pretty much a huge part of my life.

I once was campaigning for my friend who was running for class president. Needless to say, at the end we needed a talent portion for our election so I put in a tape of my brothers-girlfriends-cousins band and danced in front of the whole school, it was pretty awesome and everyone cheered at the end.

Earlier this year I was in a theatresports team for school. One of the requirements is that you have an intro for your team so we decided ours would be 30 seconds of down-tempo, funereal music and then it would suddenly start playing Poker Face by Lady Gaga. This kid who is in the year below me already knew her dance moves from the video clip, while the rest of us just did backup dancing. It was pretty hilarious because no one ever saw it coming and we always got the biggest cheers at the end.

That's my only actual experience with dancing.

I cant dance to save my life. But whenever the music starts the little spanish girls come get me and try to teach me. It's really hard to learn when you can't even understand the music.
Then at the prom...I was lucky enough to take the one person who didnt really want to dance either.

I totally know what you mean. There was a kid when i was younger who danced. All of the other boys and some girls thought that he was seriously gay. But he also did tap dancing, acting, and some other theater arts.
Now he goes to a different school and has a different girlfriend everytime he's spoken to. Its truly a good way to get a girl.

Yes. That is why i have a genius system set up.

I have an unnatractive friend who cannot dance. I, on the other hand, am fairly attractive and CAN dance (But wont)

Step 1: I stand at one end of the room, approximately 10 metres away from him and don't make eye contact. He then proceeds to dance.

Step 2: The girls see him and try to get away, walking straight towards me. Of course at this point, their expectations are lowered.

Step 3: I'm too cool to notice the girls, so they instantly fall for me.

Leaving my conclusion: People who can't dance reel in more chicks for other people. People who can dance generally reel in some chicks. However, dancing is fun. But i'm not one to subject myself to attention.

I'm a fucking awesome dancer. Girls come up to me in the nicest, most expensive nightclubs and tell me I'm fucking great all the time. And they're fucking hot too, plus they like to dance nasty.

I always laugh heartily when I see awkward looking guys trying to dance, but who obviously can't at nightclubs, and when they're not looking I spit in their drinks out of contempt.

From personal experience nobody really cares if you can't dance. Sure it helps to be better, but as long as you're having fun and moving to the beat it doesn't matter. Since most likely the people around you suck as much as you do.

Can you JERK? Sorry, a fad at our school recently was a guy going up to random people and saying 'Can you JERK?!' and film the answer on a mobile phone.

I personally cannot dance at all..aside from bushdancing and some of the simpler romantic dances. I'm more of a musician see, and provide the music of which people dance to. Though at a recent concert I was a light mixer.
Now that was fun.

I cant dance and I really hate it because I know I cant dance. When I am drunk I think I can dance and then I love it and you cant get me off the dancefloor, but at the end of the day it boils down to the fact that I dont hate dancing, I hate looking/feeling like a complete idiot,but fortunately alcohol removes inhibitions and I couldnt give a shit. My first dance at my wedding was painful for me, I was stone cold sober and dancing in front of over 100 people was pure torture.

Ha! Good question! I suppose an honest answer is in order, I am well known for getting pissdrunk to celebrate just about anything so I was asked to hold back until after speeches etc and once the dance floor opened up I could let loose. Being a man of my word I did, but God that dance was torture and I reckon wouldve been a lot better had there been copious amounts of brandy flowing through my veins. Afterwards I got pissdrunk and ended up dancing a LOT and also swimming in the pool (indoor) fully clothed. As I said before, even now that I sit here sober I have to admit that I enjoyed dancing that night, just not the first one while I was sober. I guess to me dancing is a lot like having sex with an ugly woman, its a lot more fun when you are blind drunk.

I've done ballet since I was 3, and still do.
I also started doing contemporary two years ago and have some experience in hip hop, jazz, shuffling, c-walking.

Oh and has anyone noticed that at parties, all girls basically dance the same way? You know, the little wriggle in their bodies, bending their knees with their arms up beside their face every now and then? But they always look down.

Last time I danced was with this random canadian girl, it took a lot of double vodkas and a lot of poppers and she eventually dragged me to it. I must have looked retarded but it was good fun.
