I'll probably go see this movie just because it has Jeff Bridges in it.

Oh wow, where did this come from? It looks good, although while I love it, I worry about the title - there's a good chance something like 'The Men Who Stare At Goats' could polarise audiences a bit.

Personally, as a goat fetish aficionado, I initially found the trailer to be disappointing and clearly titled as a marketing ploy to confuse people such as myself. But it looks like a well made and excellent premise. I'm not a Clooney fan, though, only issue.

Looks kinda funny, kinda lame. I'll probably see it though, and Ewan McGregor is fairly consistently good.

Looks like Burn After Reading only better.

This looks pretty fantastic. The title is kind of shit though.
Bridges, Spacey, Clooney. I'm in.

I saw this the other night. It was really funny. George Clooney did a great job, and Kevin Spacey was a twat, as usual. I'd recommend seeing it to anyone who likes George Clooney's style of comedy.

I found it massively disappointing. It's like it wanted so bad to be a Coen brothers film but failed horribly. The only bit I laughed out load at was the dancing soldiers.

My dad was laughing at the trailer.

I don't think I could have found this massively disappointing because I didn't have massively high hopes for it.
But I dug it. I laughed a lot, and I always enjoy George Clooney, as well as Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. It did feel a lot like it was trying to be a Coen brothers flick, mostly due to the cast, but it didn't suck.

Yeah I thought it was a pretty good movie. It was a nice change of pace from all the mind numbing action movies my friends usually lean towards seeing. That being said they absolutely hated it and I can see how this movie wouldn't exactly appeal to everyone. But either way I had some laughs and had a good time so meh.

The trailer made me laugh. It's not in the cinemas in the Netherlands yet, so I guess I have to wait. Definitely want to see this one though.

It was alright. Nothing amazing, yet some funny parts. The ending was also fairly lame in my personal opinion.
Well, the movie is inspired by a book/TV series that examined the US Army's research into paranormal military applications... one of which was staring at goats in an attempt to kill them.
I haven't seen it, but I expect the point of the movie would be somewhat similar... not to be 'funny' so much as to demonstrate how absurd military 'intelligence' can be. Funny without being too funny.
Then again, like I said... haven't seen it... no real idea what it's like.

Actually my main problem with the film is it didn't do that. It tried too hard to be comedic but the documentaries themselves were funnier than the film. Like, the film had immature clichéd jokes that kind of ruined it
eg
Hooper: Lieutenant Colonel Django used funds from the project's black budget to procure prostitutes.
Django: That's a lie!
Hooper: ... and to get drugs for himself and his men.
Django: That's ... Well, the hooker thing is definitely a lie.
Not funny, completely overdone. And I found a lot of it to be like that.

Watched it, I thought it was an okay movie. Not great, not bad. Had some funny parts in it.
Looks like Burn After Reading only better.

I really didn't like this film. I laughed quite a bit, and the number of Star Wars jokes kept being funny only because of Ewan McGregors previous roles. I wouldn't recommend this movie to a friend.

That's too bad. I was hoping it would be good.
