Waiting for the Bus

This one's pretty special to us. Dave and I came up with the idea about a year ago, and we've been building on it ever since, eventually involving Kris and Chase. After hundreds of hours working on it, it feels pretty damn good to call it done.

You might be wondering what a kickass full orchestral soundtrack is doing in a C&H short. That's thanks to Steve Lehmann, who we've been extremely fortunate to have had composing stuff for our shorts over the last year. You may have noticed his name in the credits lately. His musical genius is unrivaled, and I urge anyone in the music commissioning business(es) to check out his site (http://www.stevelehmann.com/). Right now.

I loved every second of it. I was watching a live stream of you animating this a while back and I was amazed at the attention to detail in every second.

I also laughed to death at the bus blowing up. How can the bus keep going after 20+ years?

Wow that short was AMAZING! I thought he would just realize he was running faster than humanly possible and turn into roadkill and it would be over but it turned out to be so much better than that!

The facial expressions and shading were beautifully done, the comedic timing was spot on, the music and sound effects were EPIC!

Great short indeed! But I wasn't happy with his death. Think he should have died waiting for the bus or have is death related to the bus in another way.

the only problem with this(which in my opinion doesn't really affect the hilariousness of this short) is according to manswers you can only run about 25ish miles an hour before the muscle rips off you bones >.<
but i have to admit I love all the shorts and this one in particular had me laughing at the end

Oh, it was just pure genius. The panning shots were so well done, comparable to stuff that's on TV, and yes, whilst it was a brilliantly funny ending, the story in there was so well orchestrated. Just as well as the brilliantly orchestrated music!!!

EPIC!! I registered just to totally gush over this short. I dun usually enjoy the C&H shorts as much as the webcomics, but this one totally changed everything! Love the plot traversal between parody to melodrama, and then the punchline, the pacing, and the excellent production value of the work. Wow. Just. Wow.
