New comic competition, come one, come all!

I don't think there's been a comic comp like this before. If there has been, I can't remember. Took the idea off some other webcomic I frequent.

So the basic gist is, there's a theme, any random idea or concept or noun pretty much. Comic artists then make a comic revolving around said theme.

It's not like the other competitions we've had where you have to continue some other person's work or use any quote verbatim. It just has to involve whatever was established beforehand.

Rules:
-Has to involve the theme, hurr durr

-One comic per person. If you think of a funnier joke, you can replace, but to lessen clusterfucking and post boosting one per person is cool.

-Put some effort into it. I can't draw worth shit, but it still seems like I can because I put time into what I draw. There are certain people that can make bad looking comics funny, like BMP. Chances are though that you aren't one of them, so put time into it.

-Make the text in the comics legible and intelligible. If u r typing liek dis, lolz, then don't make a comic.

-Don't argue or flame or be a dick.

-No porn and shit.

-Other forum rules apply

If I were showcase mod *ahem*, then I would ban you for breaking these. But since I'm not, we'll just use the honor system and hope not too many dicks enter.

I'm not going to accept applicants or vote to see whose is better. I don't want to make this that formal, really. I just want to practice drawing.
So if you want to do this just post a comic whenever a theme is decided upon.


Feel free to discuss whoever you think is better and stuff, but there will be no polls or anything.

Fine by me. It was the first thought that popped into my head when I read "Water cooler talk" I'm sure there are a hundred different ways I could have ended it that would be better than exploding heads, but I had already finished it and didn't feel like going back and changing it up.
Besides, I like the look on the water coolers face in the last panel

If you decide to post another comic, trying using more that just the oval and line tools. Try shading, more detailed faces, hands, feet. Something to show you put work into it.

Ok, so this guy walks in to the penal from the right, and to the left there's a guy saying 'gimme some skinn dawg!'
Next panel: The guy who came in says 'ok one sec' and the other guy is standing there, now looking confused and and still holding his hand out.
NEXT PANEL: Ther guy on the right leaves, anf the the guy on the left is really confused now.
Final panel: right guy comes back in 'saying, here ya go' holding a skinned dog.
The other guy is crying

Ok, due to the problems people (including myself) have been having with explosm, I'm going to extend this round until further notice. Frankly, because I don't know if people have just lost interest or if they just can't post their comics because explosm is being slow and gay.

I'm going to assume the latter, but if it winds up that just no one feels like doing this anymore, I'll just close it and let this die.

I would be all over it, but I'm in the process of moving, and things are quite hectic, so I don't have much time to make a comic. Don't get me wrong, I love doing it, and think that this thread is great, just busy packing things into boxes and looking for a new place to live sort of takes priority. I'll be all moved within the next week though.

On another note, I had a slight problem with video games as a theme, being a video game enthusiast. It just seems too broad, and I couldn't think of a really good comic to make, especially considering my current situation... Hopefully I'll be participating in the next round. Hopefully there IS a next round
