So, it was released a few days ago and I've gotten it today and I must say it's pretty good.
I was afraid that it'd be a disappointment(like the new album of three days grace), but it's really good.

I (try) not to compare albums of an artist with previous ones, however a lot of times the first albums are better(in my opinion) than the follow ups, but this one is great on its own and in comparison to Phobia, We are not Alone and Saturate.

It's not as "heavy" as the previous albums, but Crawl, Into the Nothing and (the single) I will not Bow are (I think) the heaviest songs.

I really like the "screaming" and right after it the chorus.

Overall: If you're a fan, a definite must-buy, if not listen to some songs posted above and see for yourself.

I'd give it a 8/10 and I'm glad it's not a fuck-up like Muse's/Three Days Grace new album.

I've never listened to Breaking Benjamin, but I've heard a lot about them. If I was to download some albums, what would you guys suggest? Should I listen to the newest album to get an idea of their sound or what?

I think you are a terrible person for having even a little hope that Three Days Grace's new album wouldn't be a piece of shit.

My personal favourite is Phobia, but it depends on what your preferences are, really.
I think We Are Not Alone is the most "heavy"(argh for lack of a better word) and This new one is least "heavy".
Best is really to legally download all the albums, put it in one playlist and shuffle trough it and select the songs you like.

Well the previous albums each respectively had one decent song each, whereas the new album sucks utter ball. I'd hoped for atleast one good song.

This isn't metal.

Also, I never really liked them.

Album is pretty disappointing. BB are one of my more guilty pleasures, and I love Ben's voice but this album is like a more mediocre version of Phobia. They made progression from one album to the next, but there is no real change here except the chorus' are even less hooky and forced, nor is there any interesting track variation like previously. I still enjoyed it, just not as much as their other albums.

This isn't metal.

It's alternative metal, dickhead. Don't get into ANOTHER stupid bullshit semantics argument about what is and isn't metal.

No, but this isn't. This is hard rock at best, mainly mainstream rock. Their older albums were heavier and edging closer to alt metal, but they were never really there.

I'll probably check this out eventually. I really dig Saturate because it's catchy, fun, and the lyrics typically don't mean a goddamn thing. We Are Not Alone was cool because it was something completely different than Saturate, was catchy, and a bit depressing at times. Phobia just became more of the same, only even more watered down and boring, though it had a couple decent songs.

Unfortunately Allen, this is Phobia but less catchy and inventive. And we all know Phobia wasn't inventive at all.
