For those who don't know who they are, they are a smaller record company who focus on actually having artists be artists and maintaining musicianship along the board. They have artists from Canada, America, Italy, and many other areas.

Their more popular artists are Andy McKee, Don Ross, and Antoine Dufour. The majority of their artists are fingerstylists, most of which are practically virtuosos, but they also have amazing singer-songwriters, bass players, jazz groups, and electric guitarists.

Anyways, here (http://www.youtube.com/user/rpoland) is a link to their youtube page, and here (http://www.candyrat.com/) is their website.

I love almost everything under their catalog and I've bought 6 cds from them.

Thoughts?

I love Andy McKee, a buddy of mine showed me some videos, I was blown away.

I've never been a real fan of his. I appreciate his stuff, but I'd rather listen to Robert Taylor or Stephano Barone for fingerstyle stuff.

Have you checked out Steffen Schackinger? He's my favorite electric player of theirs. All the good things about Satch and the like, and none of the bad things. Great technician and very melodic.

Ya'know, I always loved this kind of stuff, but never could find the right stuff, but knowing this place is great, thanks for this recommendation. I love mellow music too.

I checked out Steffen, wow, that guy was....wow.

I'm a huge fan of Andy McKee. Their artists are all genuinely musically talented. It's a shame talent is a rare commodity in the music industry, but Candyrat doesn't seem very short on it.

This guy puts John Mayer to shame.
