Amazing, did you win the easter egg colouring contest?
I pretty much live for the moments when you post your art on these forums.
Best part is, you never let me down with how awesome the art is.
The first piece/s look wicked even thought they aren't finished. Easily my favorite from what you've posted this time.

That's incredible, I can barely write with chalk, let alone make such drawings.

Awesome I love chalk art, too bad not got time to practice due to Uni.
Dacada, Showcase was dead for a while and you've revived it. These are really cool. I'm especially interested to see how the self portraits turn out.

Locally we have a chalk art event every year, Pastels on the Plaza, in which a lot of artists draw a lot of things. So I've seen some pretty cool stuff in chalk... but this beats out most of it. And stop being so fucking good at this stuff, you're making the rest of us seem worse.

My brain just totally refuses to believe that the first picture is chalk.
And yes, those are really, really well done.

I always like your works Dacada :hmm:
And chalk isn't that restrictive dudes :indiff:
Unless you have really crappy ones

Maybe others are kind of like me. When they think chalk they immediately think of school blackboards and those huge sticks of "sidewalk chalk." Even when it's obviously something more artistic.
Anyway...really good stuff. You should go live on the streets of London, you've totally got the skill for it.

Chalk so good :hmm:
Yeah, Tyler's right, it's almost terrifyingly easy to use in terms of blending and getting crazy vivid colours. But except I'm kinda allergic to it.

It looks like you had a lot of fun making those. I also can't tell if that large egg in the rear has no pupils, or if he's just looking at the sphere's in the upper right corner. Anyways: lovely blending/shading. It's nifty weird stuff like this that makes me wish I was artistic.

That's a lie, I've seen you do disgusting things with chalk.
These are really good, I cant believe how awesome they turned out using chalk! I hope you are going to post the finished versions!

I'm well impressed. Though Tyler and yourself say that chalk, of the good variety atleast, is not restrictive and even
easy to use in terms of blending and getting crazy vivid colours
my experiences resulted in not much more than an unrecognisable mess.
The first two (the Self Protraits and the Faces) are very impressive. You definately make the blending of colours look easy.
To be honest I like the first one as it is - incompleted or not. Those few extra detailed section atop simple lines works for me.
The second one has some impressive detail and colour blending (I'm jealous really, as that is where my non-digital art dies in the butt), but not quite as impressive as the first. The charicature like faces are somehow eerie. I don'tknow if the face on the right is supposed to look like Stallone or not but to my eyes it does (fear not! that does not detract from the overall piece).
Finally the eggs. Though simpler than the others I'm once again envious of your blending skiddizzles. My one quarm with the eggs is the light source. The blue egg (very back egg) seems to be getting lit from the bottom right where as the other (red, yellow, purple) seem to be lit from the front-top-centre. Additionally considering where the light is hitting the red egg the yellow egg could stand to be a bit darker nearer it's base. Overall a very eerie egg picture that beats the heck out of a bunch of colourful zig-zags like you would expect for easter eggs.
