I have to agree with Bosskid on items, I mostly turn them of because I don't like running across the stages to get all the Pokémon (IT CAN BE A LEGENDARY!) and so on.
But I hate Final Destination. If I want a small flat stage I just play Tekken or something like that.

Even though today's update (With Anyone/Basic Brawl) seems kind of dull, the character select screen they've posted up really tickles my fancy because it looks like you only start off with 12 characters when you start the game up for the first time (Lucas, Snake, Kirby, Wario, Ice Climbers, Deedee, Zelda, Pokemon Trainer are absent.) It looks like they'll be a lot of damn good reasons to play the Adventure Mode if you wanna unlock more characters.

Sounds great to me too, but I wish it were more like Counter-Strike, where there is a list, with something on the lines of a list of players, ping, level, so that you can actually choose where you want to go and stuff.

One of the updates already revealed that there won't be any servers and that you will just be hooked up with some random people automatically. Servers would've been good, but if we really want to play each other, we need each other's friend codes I guess.

I agree with you there. I don't think they would allow 2 registered friends to fight some other people online. But I think you will be able to battle with a friend on Wi-Fi if you have an extra controller and you're both playing on the same Wii.

That would be pretty sick. I mean it sucks on the online 2 player games now that you can have one guy online while the other waits. That might be worth it. Damn you nintendo you changed the release date change the online! I mean we will all still buy the game but we will like it better. And I dont want severs with only a max of 4 people but maybe just hosting you know?

What would be cool that they can still add is a ranking system AKA 400 knock out of arenas. 400000000 percent damage inflicted. 100 matches won.

Clones were not that bad of an idea, because one of the clones had advantages, like power, but lacking speed. Falco had better aerial moves, fox had the ground moves.

But in the end I'd rather see no clones. I'm sure thats part of the reason of delay.

I kind of mean serverish kind of things. Start a brawl and you can enter a screen showing the available brawls and other types of battles and the stages they take place on. Also a ranking system would be nice.
Something like:

Knockouts:400000
Brawls won: 400
Brawls lost: 40
Character played most often: Kirby

They already have this on most online enabled 3rd party wii games so why not a main stream 1st party game?



And finally i want to play a team brawl with my friend and 2 other random people. However this could be accomplished with the server system as well. Plus with a random person brawl wouldn't you just have one on ones?

Hm so that makes 25 stages and 23 characters so far. Something about the Corneria stage just doesn't look too good at all, like they could have spent more time improving it from melee to make it look up to brawl standard.
Melee had 29 stages and 25 characters. But it isn't expected that all stages/characters will be revealed on the dojo.

Yeh They need a basic fountain of dreams style level

Also I'm glad they're pushing the online more than before for this game, but I just don't see it being and less than being a pain in the ass. First we enter friend codes, then we have to plan the match since there is no friends list or invite feature(like XBL), then we have to play over Wi-Fi because there is no Ethernet port on the Wii. I know you're trying Nintendo, I just wish I could use your NWFC more easily.

I don't really think you can tell right now, but I'm going to say that you can't. I mean, a Final Smash is like an attack and generally you couldn't recover after after an attack unless if you touch some sort of solid platform.

I'm not saying that I know for sure, but on the music credits page that ThePopeofPie posted, there is a person named Yoko Shimomura who worked with the Kingdom Hearts series, I hope there aren't any Kingdom Hearts characters, but this kind of comes of as a hint to me. But then again, there are people who worked with Digital Pinball, and well, would that game even have characters?

Also, there are people who worked with NiGHTS, Devil May Cry, CHRONO TRIGGER, and others, I'm NOT saying that this makes it definate, but to me it kind of seems like a pretty good hint.

I'm not saying that I know for sure, but on the music credits page that ThePopeofPie posted, there is a person named Yoko Shimomura who worked with the Kingdom Hearts series, I hope there aren't any Kingdom Hearts characters, but this kind of comes of as a hint to me. But then again, there are people who worked with Digital Pinball, and well, would that game even have characters?

Also, there are people who worked with NiGHTS, Devil May Cry, CHRONO TRIGGER, and others, I'm NOT saying that this makes it definate, but to me it kind of seems like a pretty good hint.No they are just famous VG music composers. Plus like Digital Pinball would get in. So yeah..

Well, I think that Sora/Riku would be nice, but definitely not any actual Disney characters.

+ I didn't say that Sora would be the greatest character ever, but I'm a big fan of the game and think that it would be super-cool, you never know what he might unleash on the game.

I think I remember Sakurai saying that they had to be video game characters that have appeared in at least one nintendo game, like Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memories for the GBA. Also, let me rephrase what I said before, I actually wouldn't mind Sora, Riku, Roxas, someone like that, or just a Keyblade item, but Mickey or Donald would kind of piss me off.

Yeah, Nintendo had the rights to MGS, so I'm guessing that's why Snake is in SSBB. I had totally forgotten about the GBA Kingdom Hearts game, so I guess they still might be able to add Sora and whatnot into the game.

I suppose maybe Sora wouldn't be an awesome character, but the novelty of the fact and how much I love Kingdom Hearts would definitely be a plus, but that's all I'd say.

Actually Kojima (Creator of MGS) is the whole reason why we have 3rd parties. He asked sakurai to put snake in the game. They were going to put snake in melee but he asked them to late. If kojima wouldn't have asked then i doubt we would be having 3rd parties this game.

I think Zelda's final smash sucks, because it is too easy to avoid. You have to bee in the wrong place at the wrong time to actually get it. If the arrow tracked you and still had massive power, it would be perfect.
