Since 1 and 2 were erased, and 3 got off to a very bad start before the rules were posted. Here is (another) clean slate.

Some Dos and Don'ts for the Fan Art thread;

Don't post every single comic you make - only post the at least half-decent ones.

Don't churn out comics, spend a little time on the art and the joke.

Do take the criticism you're given and use it to improve. Also, look at what has been said about other people's comics - apply it to your own work.

Don't copy + paste real C+H comics.

Don't use anyone else's art or joke. Plagarism / theft / recycling / whatever you want to call it will result in a lengthy ban.

Do remember that if you have a question, use the Help Forum (http://forums.explosm.net/forumdisplay.php?f=14) and FAQ (http://forums.explosm.net/faq.php). If it is for a specific member, send them a PM.

Lag, the first comic was actually funny. The second was alright and the third was poor - it's difficult to make an illness joke now, they've become stale.

Use a proper flesh tone for the skin colour, it looks dumb with that off-green shade.

The joke obviously won't appear funny to everyone. I didn't find it that funny either, but i won't be an asshat about it. The art was pretty nice apart from the green guys disproportional leg in the last frame :douchecock:

Poor smelly. I think your comic was just swell, althought I think it would have been better if the character being shot at had ducked under the bullet. I don't like AOLisms in comics either. Good job though.

Owen; I liked it, even if it did take me a minute or so to get the deer reference. Maybe you should have spelled it 'deer' instead of 'dear'?

Smelly; I loved it, though it would have been better with dialogue as opposed to AOLisms.

Vintage; that sucks:- the joke is crappy, the lines for the panels are waaay too big and the character art isn't great either.

Ox; I assume the joke is making fun of the fact that at music festivals the toilets are always fucking disgusting. At first I thought that somehow he'd managed to make a mess everywhere, but yeah... had to think about it to get the joke. Art's fantastic as always.

Yes they are. Nothing stops being funny. This notion that sickness jokes or anything else aren't funny because they are overdone is ridiculous. It's just because the single jokes themselves aren't funny.

Here's a sugestion for a comic since my art sucks:
All panels are a view down a hole where there is a girl. A bucket descends more and more in every panel.
First table; guy with bucket: "It rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again."
Second table; girl in pit: "Why are you doing this?"
Third table; guy with bucket: "It rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again!"
Forth table; girl in pit: "Why, dad? Why?!"

Hats Of (Of?) just made my favourite comic so far. That magician was such a jerk. I thinkg it would've been better with "AAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!" in the background when he's getting abducted, but I did love the guy's tiny little feet.

I would say the opposite of Hats of!, I like the jokes, but the art needs some improvement. It's pretty cool that you made your own website about C&H, I took a few looks at your other comics, and they're pretty good. The only thing I would like to criticize is the way you draw your characters. Why do you have a round bottom at your characters, is this pants? Anyways, decent comics, post more in the future.

That's one dumb question. Flash, MSPaint, some other programs that I don't know of.

If you are using Windows, you should have MSPaint in your computer. This a nice drawing tool, which is decent for drawing comics. You need to have the patience for it though.

Flash, is one of the most easiest drawing programs to create a C&H for, and still making it look good. There's a 30-day trial available on their site. (www.adobe.com)

Oxtail: It was Ok. The lack of words struck me negatively and it was kinda predictable. But the 2nd guy crying made the whole comic for me.

The suicide comic is actually one of his best in my opinion, atleast it made me laugh, and suicide isnt a joke, but it can be joked around with, loosen up.

Hey dark, that art is awful. The legs change from overlapping the squares to being behind them, they're just big blocks and the reflection(?) just looks like a white dot on their head.
