My Foray Into Explosm's Ads

Anyway, I noticed an ad.

To be specific.

I can do that. So I click fifty times and hellz yeah! Score one for WG, I win! I mean, its not like they make it so easy someone with carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis of the hands could do it! So, I turn off my pop-up blocker and what do I see? I'VE WON TEN RINGTONES. BULL SHIAT. I played for a cell phone, and what do I get? Not a cell phone. Blasphemy, I say.

Well, I DID work my ass off with all those clicks, so I might as well retrieve my 'tones. So I read some shit, enter my cell number in, and some other crap. Then I ACTUALLY read the terms and conditions.

HELL NO!

Fuck. No. So, as I click out of this ad, I am berated by one of those annoying pop-ups that says stupid shit and doesn't go away 'till about a hundred clicks.

Are there no pop-up adds that are somewhat intelligible, and don't try to scam you? Now, I rarely ever click on ads (only did this out of boredom), but whenever I do, it's always stupid crap.

Get new ads. And, I know pop-ups are never what they're supposed to be. I don't expect to ACTUALLY get a new laptop for guessing how many Americans are fatasses.

From what I understand, you can get that free stuff. You have to sign up for a bunch of sponsors, and get a certain number of friends to sign up. The company ends up with about twice as much as the ipod/iphone/whateverthehellelse So they send you one. Then your friends have to do the same thing, get more friends etc.

We also get alot of these on TV in Adelaide - the 'multi question quiz' games, that is. The idea is you get a simple question; *picture of the Sydney Opera House* "Where is this famous landmark located? Is it A) Sydney, or B) The moon? Text your answer to *number* to win a *random prize*"
The fine print tells of the texts being $2.00 each, and no doubt there are about a million questions after it. Death to anyone who participates in these "games".
