View Full Version : Have Any of You Been Fired?

What was your job?
What did you do?
etc.
With me, this is the second job that I have failed at. Last time, I got into a fight with my coworker. This time, I punched a guy in the face. :( I'll go into details later.

Haha, you got fired from the yogurt place.
Getting fired looks bad on your resume, so have some self-control and don't do it.

Well, I am bipolar. So it does not look so bad.

Once, I got fired from some shitty arts n' craft/patio furniture store for some bullshit reason three years ago, but thankfully the store went out of business a year ago.
If you get fired from some job, just don't bother putting it on your resume.

I got fired from Sobey's for going to the bathroom without asking. They gladly gave me a good reference years later though.

Yeah, the boss loved me I was like his "favorites" but he just couldn't risk me staying and a customer or worker emailing the corporate about the incident. So now.. I'm going job hunting :(.
I've quit all of my jobs except my job as a janitor, which I've been at for, I think, nearly 3 years now. I know I started it right before Explosm came about. It's the only one I can really stand. Every other job was a second job, so quitting was never a real dillemma for me. Just when I got tired of a job, I fucking quit. Other than quitting without warning or reason, I'm an excellent employee.
Doesn't matter. I've held this janitorial job for so long that in a couple of months I'll be making $1300 a month for only three hours of work a night, five nights a week.

Lots of bipolar people don't punch other people in the face. It still looks bad.
The job I work at right now I actually got fired from then re-hired. My boss put me down for an extra three hours one day and I forgot so I left when I thought my shift ended. It was my own fault, and I'd only been working there for a few weeks so I wasn't too upset. Then a month or two ago they called me up and said they had another opening and asked if I wanted my job back.

Well then I guess I am one of those who do punch others. :/ The sad part is I didn't even break his nose. :(
Hopefully he will let me transfer into another location or something.

I got fired from a paper-round when I was 12 once because it was windy and the papers blew out of the bag. The guy expected me to chase all the papers around the street. I didn't.

Maybe if you tend to lash out and punch other people in the face, you should get a job that involves less people? Also, you shouldn't use "bi-polar" as an excuse.
Anywho, I've never been fired from a job, though I did try to get fired from my old job at the local movie theatres. I'm still on the call sheet & they still consider me an employee... I haven't been there since April.

What did this person do to you that you punched him in the face?
Also, that is a good reason to get fired. I don't think being bipolar allows you to hurt other people, so shut up about that, but it's still a good story.
And don't act so wounded about it...seriously. Sounds like you deserved it. I'm sorry, but you can't just punch people in the face and be indignant when you get fired.
I'm not old enough to get a job, but when I am, I hope I get fired for something epic like punching a guy in the face. Or even better, a small child.
I was cleaning up in a baking store until I lost the job.
I was at my friend's house having a LAN night, the day after I had to go to work at 03:00.
So when the clock was 02:30, I called my parents to pick me up at his house to drive me to work, but they were in a city far away, so that wasn't possible. They told me to call my sister, but she had a very bad hangover, and wouldn't be able to drive me. I had no chance to get to my work, so I called my boss, and he told me if I didn't come, I would be fired. So I just told him I quit.
That counts too, doesn't it?
Rebecca.

Haha no, since I haven't been clocked in since April I haven't recieved any money from them, but I can still go clock in whenever & work whenever I choose. It'd be pretty badass if I still received a check without working though.

That'll be me. I've worked at Chuck E. Cheese's for almost two years now, and I really fucking hate dealing with children. I'll probably never get fired, though. My bosses are in their twenties, so they're cool with stuff like showing up late and even completely missing shifts. Still, I try not to push it.
I could probably push for a manager position and stay there for life, if I wanted. Climb the corporate ladder and all that.
I got fired from my paper round for not delivering papers. Even though I did explain to them prior that I was out the country for that time. I got to keep the flourescent bag though! :fmita: It's getting mouldy in my garage now :indiff:

Yeah, once.
Was working at this grout factory, and made a bet with the head of marketing over a game of footy. I won, but he wouldn't pay up, so I walked into his office and told him I would take either the money or the equivalent in blood. He paid and I got fired.
Best $50 I ever made.

Hahahaha freaking great.
I haven't been fired, although I wish I would get fired for something like threatening a guy to take the equivalent of $50 in blood.

Ha, thats just great. :]
I don't get fired, I get head.
I don't get fired, I give head.
Fixed.
It makes more sense now actually.
I almost got fired from my job for stealing like 10 bottles of wine once.
But the guy is nice.
Yes. It was a good night.
But I had to work the next day.

I didn't get fired, I just quit. I almost ended up getting in a fight with someone because of it on my last day of work because I still had hours left and she was going to have to take some of them and she wanted to kick my ass because of it. Luckily for her, she realized that I was 15 at the time and she was 19, if she even touched me, she would go to jail automatically. She was a totally psycho, I think that is represented here if she was going to kick my ass because she was going to have to work a few more hours. But the manager there won't fire anyone for any reason other than stealing because she has no backbone. It is sad, actually.

I have to be a good employee, so that i don't get fired, due to needing the money.
I've never understood how people can just quit jobs, just like that, surly you need to find other jobs before quitting the ones you have.

I worked at McDonalds part time, the one I worked at really had idiots for managers and a very bad rotary system, plus they kept calling me demanding that I come in and do an extra shift.
I quit just before they could fire me. :D

Barnes & Nobles.
This one kid kept asking if we had a copy of some stupid book even after I told him it wasn't in stock, and I kept telling him no. He went to his bitch mom and talked to my manager and got me fired because I was "harassing a costumer".
Ugh.

I threw a chair at some bitch at my old work.
They told me if I didn't quit they would have to fire me, so I quit, but I still use them on my resume.
The girl i hit with a chair was a complete bitch, and i was a way better worker than her, but they obv. couldn't keep the chair-thrower over the chair throw-ee, so I was gone the next day.
(N) It was a shit job anyways.

I got fired from my first ever job for calling my boss a cunt. Honestly, I think it's unfair dismissal because he was a cunt.
I've only been fired from one job. It was at Arby's, I was employed for only a month, if that, before it happened. Basically, it was because I roared at my manager. I'm serious. He was a fucking dickhead anyway, and tehy barely worked me(they claimed i got fired because i was too slow, but i couldnt learn the food stuff because they didnt work me, but i got fired after i roared -- jokingly -- at my boss).
I don't care though, fuck arby's. Oh and Acy, don't use bi-polar as an excuse, I'm bi-polar also, maybe not superduper severe but still.
Note: If you can help it, don't eat from Arby's either, after working and seeing the roast beef, I try not to eat it. Only if someone else bought it, is when i eat it. Reluctantly.

I was fired from a restaurant, but the lucky part was they decided to simply dismiss me and not sue me for the 2,600 dollars they suspected me of embezzling. I could have gotten seven years in this state for that mess. I suppose unemployment is better than the yard.

I used to work on a big cybercafe chain.
Eventually fucked the boss's wife and got fired, but it was sort of on purpose. I hated that job.
I've been fired from a holiday job that I got cause I couldn't work due to my injured leg from another job I worked in the mornings. I did a lot of shit that could get me in trouble (for example, i'm posting from work) and I still haven't gotten fired from anywhere else.

Odly I never got fired from my job. If you think about i should have because i kind of did whatever i wanted. I would break whenever I wanted, my friends would come and vistit me and i would talk to them for like a half-hour, i swore ll the time, told perveted stories, and when they asked me to go something up at the store, which was a mile away, I would come back an hour later. I was there for three years until i quit because i was moving. I miss that job.
At KFC, I drank my body weight in Pepsi and sat in the freezer. I made it for one month! That was the worst job ever and I'm glad I didn't put effort.

I had a few oddjobs, becuase well I'm underaged. My first odd job was a company that my brother founded, and I just had to make cement. I just needed to make the cement in large quantites, such as 100 lbs. I would get a 80 pound bag, rip it on the cement mixer, add two shovles full of sand, and two buckets of water. Then pour it when on a wheel barrel. Repeat. I got paid for that day around $70. The reason why I got fired was becuase my brother could not afford another person.
That same year but during the summer I went with my cousin so I could help him out. He was a janitor in a elementry school. So I just had to move some books to some class room, or and mix up some paint but most of the time we were watching Stupid Videos. During the night time he was a DJ, and I had to take down all of the equipment, and I did that for a week. I got paid $230 becuase of all of that. I couldn't hold it becuase I didn't live in Houston, but if I did I would of stuck with it.

I've never been fired, then again i've only had and still have one job (Grocery store). Though the road i'm going down i probably will be fired. Apparently your not supposed to use your cell phone, or sit outside when there's no work, or climb the pillars outside. Pssh whatever.
My friend got fired 2 days ago on his birthday. He worked as a stripper in a hotel. A sheet stripper. He sat on the bed and watched tv when he was done and was caught, and then the next day it happened again. Apparently he was stripping a pillow while sitting down. That agument didn't hold up. He got fired by some bitch he'd never seen before.
Oh acy_linn, punching people is bad.

Whilst I've never been fired, I just recently had a performance review.
Apparently, while the quality of my work is "excellent", I am arrogant and don't show my superiors enough respect...
Pffffffft.
I was fired from my summer job at a small shawarma restaurant a week ago. The managers brother was poking me and drooling on the dishes I had cleaned (he was retarded) so I screamed in his face, something like AAAAAAAARRRRGH!!! He pissed himself and squealed to the boss who fired me on the spot.

-I worked at a local coffee shop and the guy that my girlfriend cheated on me with walked in. I decided to take a piss in a little spice jar, then serve him it. He could instantly tell, threw it at me, and told the manager. I walked 45 minutes home, fired, and smelling of my own piss.
