I just finished recording my own acoustic rendition of The Car's Just What I Needed (http://www.wikiupload.com/download_page.php?id=211209) (on my crappy 7 year old half broken mic with audacity). It's a very emo style, so if your not into emo music much, you'll probably hate it, but I'm quite proud of myself for this song, because it's the first one I've recorded my voice in and actually liked the way I sounded for more than half of it. Please tell me what you think. It's very likely that I'll re-record the whole thing, because my voice really goes downhill near the end (it's 1:40 AM here mind you), so any advice will be taken into strong consideration.
Thanks.
You've got to click the upload button then type in the numbers/letters it shows.
Also, if any of you guys know a better site to host this mp3 so you don't have to download it to listen to it, that would be cool.

The link does not work D:
May I suggest Putfile (www.putfile.com)?
EDIT: Disregard that, I suck cocks, etc..
From what I've heard, It could use some work.
It's OK I guess. It's pretty offbeat and NOT my style, but theres definately room for improvement. I also don't like how it's so repetetive. There's a few bits in there that are pretty good. Nice job.

Well, for some reason it doesn't want to download. I can host it if you like (would have to PM me a better link to get it from or something) or you can just throw it in a movie and leave the background blank and throw it on youtube.

Did you get past the ID code?
Give it time to download. If it passes three minutes without entering IE Quicktime player, I have no idea..
But once Again Lame, I suggest using www.putfile.com. It's great for uploading audio.

I tried playing Lake Bodom's solo on acoustic once.

I used to be able to play the intro on acoustic. It seriously got me laid. I love metal chicks.
The guitar needs some serious work, I'm afraid. A lot of screwups here and there, but overall is wasn't too bad. The vocals were pretty good, but it's my experience that recording at 1:40 in the morning doesn't guarentee the greatest performance. I think if you work on the guitar a bit, maybe switch it up a little bit (ie: not just playing chords the entire time, or switching up the strumming patterns every now and then), and then re-record it, it'll come out just fine.
Not my style really. But I give you props for trying. You need to work on your chops though.
