In addition to Metalocalypse Season 2, and the imminent release of the first season on DVD (10/2/2007 US), Dethklok has also put out a full length album. I had been anticipating this album for months and as soon as the closest music store opened, I bought it.

From the pounding gallop of the opening track, Murmaider to the symphonic finale "Deathharmonic", Dethklok (Brendon Smalls/Gene Hoglan) deliver a kickass album. Many of the original songs from the show have been polished and extended to full length songs, while "Lost Vikings," "Better Metal Snake," and "Thunderhorse" aka “The Viking Trilogy” were recovered from sessions deleted by Nathan Explosion (according to the liner notes). While some of the tracks on Dethalbum sound a bit different from their original show versions, they are of a far better quality both rhythmically, and riff-wise. For a band completely fictitious, Dethklok outdoes many of the real ones. Overall it is a great record and definitely worth the money, buy it now!

DETHKLOK would like to thank the the
tireless work of the Klokservants (see we
really are good bosses). Willard Wonky
Candy Hand Candy Company, Pickles
Nickles, Explosion Sauce, Murder
Knobs, the makers of all Banana Stickers
Jean Pierre, the late Captain Helmut
Lorkey, Dr. Jonathan Twinkletits, and
Mashed Potato Johnson.

Dethklok is the greatest band on Earth, and the 12th largest economy just above Belgium.
That said; I bought it this morning before school and listened to it in my spare block. 'Awesome' is all I can say. As far as real death metal goes, the singing is pretty bad but if you're not looking for that it's damn fucking amazing.

Metal.

I bought Thunderhorse on iTunes (Best song ever, in my opinion) today. I've been listening to it on loop since. Once I get more money in my iTunes account, I'm probably gonna buy the entire album.

In my opinion, I like Bloodtrocuted, Murmaider and Face Fisted the most. I recommend getting these songs next.

I'll just buy the whole album at the same time. I just needed Thunderhorse now to get out of my head.

I love these guys. The show and the music. I'm not into that much metal but I make room for Dethklok. I'm glad they put the coffee jingle on the bonus disk too.

I can't wait til these guys do a concert.

Yes, and I am glad I did.
Though Murdertrain a Comin' had some stuff in it where(if you have watched the show)Mash Potatos Johnson comes in and plays and Pickles Intro is just a little thing to explain why Pickles is singing Kill You. Dethklok Gets In Tune isn't a song but it's still funny.

Record stores around here are gay. I had to get the album off of iTunes, meaning I didn't get the bonus disk. I long to hear Pickles' intro! :wail:

That whole album is just brutal. Im amazed at how a band that doesn't exist can make better music than real bands. I am however dissapointed in a few songs, namely to say Go Into The Water, the drumming sucks now - no doubble kickers. Brandan Small is a genious.

Fur Burger, if you listen there is alot of double kicking in the music.

I really wanted this, but Foo Fighters won me over on this one. I'll probably get it in the near future. Dethklok is badass.

The album is so awesome. My favorite track off the album has got to be Awaken and Thunderhorse. Such amazing melody.

Man I ordered the Dethalbum from Amazon last night (it's sold out of all retail outlets around here), then a couple hours later I'm watching adult swim and they say there's a Deluxe Edition.
The Deluxe edition destroys the regular edition!

If Amazon doesn't let me cancel, I'm gonna bloodrocute myself.

I found out that the drummer on the album, Gene Hoglan was the former drummer of Death and the current drummer of Strapping Young Lad. Say what you will as to whether or not you like the music of those bands but his drumming is insanely brutal, especially his double bass.

Got the deluxe album. Can't stop listening to it. It's the most brutal, metal thing to crawl out of the music industry since... ever.

I <3 Dethalbum haha. It totally met my expectations. My favorite song has to be Thunderhorse. The whole song is so melodic.
