Avatar limits.

This only just came to my attention; that nearly no GIF. avatar is under 19.5kb. I realize that the Admins don't want a bunch of giant images all over the site, but that's pretty small.
I also just realized that I can do next to nothing with my signature. I'm still not sure why this is.

What do you guys think the limits for these things should be?

The scale size is fine at 80x80. Giant sigs and avatars are annoying as fuck.

I don't really mind. I just minded because of the file size in the previous forum before the update, I couldn't even have a small emma-watson avatar.

I think 80 x 80 is fine. An avatar really isn't important enough to mess with it.

I can't remember what mine is, but I think it's annoyingly small.
I'm more bothered about sigs being 50px tall. What the hell am I supposed to draw in 50 pixels!?
Also, 125 x 125 does seem huge for an avatar. At least I could do something with it though.

Then explain your sig, big guy. It's gotta be at least 100 x 150. I think 100 square avatars are good. That way people are satisfied by a nice round number, and on the bonus side we can shave some of the spare grey space in the margin to make for bigger posts.

Most of my sig permissions are disabled, like Derelict's, but they only take effect once you try to update your sig. I must've added the quote to my sig before the permissions were reduced. (it says in my signature options that quote bbCode is disabled).

I think a 125x125 MAXIMUM would be nice. Just to give an array of avatar sizes a chance. Also thats a bit odd about the avatar kb size :S

Anyway, 125x125 could work, but how about this too.. In the User CP, there should be an option to turn off viewing avatars, so if you don't want to see the avatars you don't have to.

Better yet, there could be a resize option, that would be a number between 1-250 that would resize everybody's avatar.
