There's a couple things I'd like to mention.

First off a shit thread like this (http://forums.explosm.net/showthread.php?t=7508) should be dumped.
It's basically someone making a thread about what they are going to purchase and how much better their purchase would be to another. It is all about opinion.


Second, threads like this (http://forums.explosm.net/showthread.php?t=7545), need a good dumping.
No one cares about your generic video game idea or your bad grammar.

Another would be about how many media forum are just in the General, isn't that why it was created to keep them out?

Last thing would be the Review Forum, it kind of serves no purpose. Anyone can just make a thread in the regular forum and post a 5-star rating, it doesn't need to be in a another sub-forum.
Besides, most Review threads have the exact same thread in regular Media or have a couple replies.

I'm pretty sure everything you just said has very little or no relevance at all. There are a couple of bad threads in the Media forum, as are in every forum. Plus there's no major MF threads in the GF, and for the last thing you mentioned; it isn't an inconvenience, it isn't a hassle, nor is it a problem in any way. Sure it doesn't need to be there, but in the end who cares if it is or isn't?

No, I like it how we're not dumping as many media threads, it's more open. I'd rather have a bunch of different threads than have less of them.

We do not really need the Media Forum, but is it hurting anyone? No. I say we keep it. Some people like posting reviews, ect. in there.

The review pile has also gotten some action, it isn't super active but that isn't the point. Like ShaggMuffin said, it keeps the regular Media forum more open while keeping reviews separate. It really just depends on the quality of the review more than anything else, if it's a shitty or uninteresting review, it's probably going to be a shitty or uninteresting thread. But many of those reviews have gotten an ample number of replies compared to some of the whorehouse threads.

Overall the Media Whorehouse just needs a little more Mod TLC.
