Infraction PM

A lot of newbies don't know what are infractions, and how or when they get one. A newbie could just walk in, and ignore the user dump and so on. So my idea is to have a automatic system that PMs the infracted person after they have been infracted by the moderators and administrators. That way newcomers would get the point of this whole system, thus, learn from their shit posts.

I don't get a pop up, but it does show how many infractions you have when you go into your profile.

I don't think there is a pop up when you get one, I've never got it on firefox or IE.

I think they mean a pop-up when you get a PM. You can turn the option on or off if you want a pop-up.

If you can't be bothered to read the rules before joining or even looking to see if you've broken a rule then I'm pretty sure you fall below the minimum IQ for this place anyway. The rules really aren't that hard to follow.

It's a pretty good idea.
Also it could say "If you have 3 infraction point you will be times out for X days. 25 will get you permanently banned". As far as I can tell this isn't written anywhere anymore.

This is a great idea. Right now the only way to know you got an infraction is to read your old posts, which nobody really does.

Kwanza, any way to get a PM sent? I know the old infraction system before you streamlined it allowed PMs, but mods had to write the PM manually which is a big hassle.

ArKaiN's idea is perfect. The PM should just have the title as "You've received an infraction..." with a link inside to the user dump thread.

If you want a pop-up to show up when you get a PM you need to enable it in options in your User CP.

Also, the whole "Infractions get erased after 3 months" should be found easier. They're only in the "Lets Talk About Infraction" thread, 10 posts down. I, unfortunatley, didn't scroll down to read it and I PMed Rob basically suggesting the idea that it should reset after 3 months. Little did I know it was already a rule.. I got a nasty response from Rob-Guy. :wail:

I think that is a good idea. If you want to know what you got the infraction for you can just look at your CP so I do not see a need for the link to the thread.
