Obviously you can't bring back the lost threads, but maybe you could make a new hall of fame. It's not like we don't have funny threads (Like that one with Demon 23 or the one where one guy wanted to find depressing comic week and got roll'd by everything) The dump is for the bad threads, so why not bring back the hall of fame?
There has been nothing hall of fame worthy since the reset.
What's the point of a Hall of Fame if Serion can't post?

There has been nothing hall of fame worthy since the reset.
A lot of people think the best days of a forum were at the beginning. That may or may not be true, but just because it isn't 2004 or 2005 doesn't mean that the threads aren't worthy of the hall of fame. Some mods have even put in a thread that it is hall of fame'd. Those threads weren't put in the dump after either.
I don't think I ever said the forums were better back in 2004 and 2005. It'd be hard for me to know anything about them since I didn't even find the comics until early 2006.
What I said was none of the threads that have been here since the reset would have made it into the old Hall of Fame. The hall of fame was gone long before the reset anyway because, if I recall, no one was actually using it and it was just taking up space.
It seems that the mods/admins no longer have a sense of humour. That demon23 thread was hilarious, but Rob considered it bad and dumped it.
Ohwell, I liked the Hall Of Fame. It was fun to grab some popcorn and read through the threads.

I'm sure at least somebody's saved a few of the threads in their favourites....?

I thought the thread where Robs son came from the future was awesome.
If we make one we have to call it the Hilarity Dump

It wasn't Rob's Son, it was someone who bought Explosm for 8m and ruined it :facts:

Come on man, it's the future we're talking about. Proper tenses and such. Honestly I find the Thread Dump entertaining usually, no real need for a Hall of Fame per se yet.

The tag could be hilary clinton taking a dump. It looks good on paper to me.

There aren't a lot of very funny threads, but I like the idea of bringing it back. I wonder why they got rid of it in the first place.
Also, what's with you and 'dumps', Rob?

Oh god, I wanted to make a joke of the same caliber as the one that got me booted so bad, but I wont for the sake of my account.
Anyways, I'm not sure if we really need a Hall of Fame now, even when we did have it, it was never used. Although I don't agree with there being "Absolutely no funny threads" anymore, there's not that many that have appeared with Hall of Fame potential.

You guys should recreate the hall of fame just in case amazing threads do come along.
I've seen threads that have been pretty funny/amazing/20 pages long and honestly, if the truly funny threads don't get saved, this forum cant get much better.

Not a good idea anyway. The hall of fame just cheapens the funny threads. The more you're able to keep reading them the less funny they get, and when it exists everyone just tries to make stupid posts to get in there.

Personally I'd rather see the Pit back than a Hall of Fame.
Edit: Why didn't anyone tell me this before I make a fool of myself.

The Pit is back oby.
I really wish the Hall o' Fame was back aswell. Although there hasn't been that many funny posts it could encourage an attempt funnier posts. That would be so dreamy if that happened.

Showcasing great threads doesn't cheapen them.
It merely puts them somewhere for for new people to read, or to go back over when it's quiet.
Please bring it back, and put the thread where Jeff, RadziCOLA and Futuron right at the top.

I say that the admins secretly copy all the decent threads into a hidden hof forum, the elites decide on the good ones, and when we have a respectable hof, it opens to the public.
That being said, there'd probably be one thread in it.

Or none at all.
I miss the old hof. =[

Where is the pit?
I think Audio's idea is really good, but that could be a lot of work for mods/admins to work out.

I've seen a whole lot of Spam threads that were really funny. I saw there weren't any on the Hall Of Fame.
Plus, you gotta take risks when you want to make one. Skreb's could have landed him at a permaban, but it was just found funny. Members will try to make threads to get to the Hall Of Fame and that'll just be annoying and leading to infractions.

Spam ≠ hall of fame.
The old hof thread were pretty much funny people circlejerking, in the gf that's not even possible now because the majority of replies are either 100% dead pan serious or completely fucking retarded.
Spam is its own kind of special.

That's why (when and if) Hall Of Fame returns, I would like to see some threads thrown in there.

No, none of them are.

To people who think it would encourage others to act stupid to get in to the hall of fame, you could TO people for that and anyone who posts a post that is like "in b4 hof lololol" would have that post removed and/or an infraction.
