What if we'd have a space in someones profile to put a message in, sort of like a profile thread.
Pro's:
- It'd solve the bday threads problem
- It'd stop circle jerking in Spame
Contra's:
- Difficult to moderate
I know a site that does it and it worked pretty good there.

Ehh... it's a forum... not myspace. It could work, but as you said difficult to moderate and it would create circle jerks on profiles.

Circle jerks on profiles would possibly mean less jerking in other forums.

That doesn't make it better.

In theory it is a good idea, but I do not think it would work on this site. There are too many people who would abuse it.

Neither does not doing anything

We already give infractions for circle jerking.
If you think it's ruining Spame, we can deal with it there too.

Well, it's not as bad as it used to be.

I think I should be Spame Mod. I'll rid Spame of circle jerking and cute animals.
Maybe there should be a spame mod that actually goes online unlike joshe.

I like this idea. I've seen this used on another forum and it just took away the unnecessary comments from the forum while having a nice place to circlejerk.
Even the one that can come on can't do anything. Derelicts modding abilities haven't been reinstated since the reset.

Yes, I've seen user notes on other forums and it works nicely. I'm for it. Though I've never seen them modded before.
That's the problem. If they weren't closely modded they would get horribly out of hand here.
Who would want to mod user notes? It seems unreasonable. If they are in the user's profiles does it matter what they contain? Maybe the ability to disable them would help.
What's that one website where you post comment on each other's profiles?

Agreed 100%. I say it's a bad idea.

Well would there be an indicator telling mods when somebody receives a profile comment?

Mr. A, I'm not sure you know how annoying that would be.

While we're at it we can make it so only friends can post comments, make our own blogs, post pictures of ourself, make bulletins, and customize our profile!

Well if there was a set group of mods for it, not every single mod, then wouldn't it kinda be their job easier than searching through random profiles?

I think what would make more sense would be to have a team of mods, and there could be a mod forum with all the comments, and they could approve each comment individually. This makes the most sense, because it can be checked at the mods leisure.

Yeah.
They should use the team of mods that's already accustomed to sifting through retarded shit. The Story Mods.
I won't be modding myexplosm profile comments.
This isn't really gonna happen.
