Since my childhood, I have been a hard core video gamer. I had favorite games of all genres. Looking back, there were a few games that I associate with my childhood as a whole.
Spyro - All of the first three Spyro games were necessities in my everyday life. I learned how to operate a playstation with these games, and to this day I find them amusing. Pokemon - I know, not original at all, but since they first came out in America, I have always loved pokemon. My friends and I would all hang out with our gameboys playing Pokemon for hours. Jersey Devil - Probably the first game I ever played on the console. The sounds from the game are still in my head today. Although I remember little about this game, it was huge in the development of the person I am today. Final Fantasy 7 - My all time favorite game at the time was always Final Fantasy 7. From watching my parent play it to beating the game and all of those after it, I loved the entire series early on in my life. Please, share the games of your childhood with me here. Thanks yo. |

Super Mario 64
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time Kirby, The one with the diamonds. I forget what you call it but it was a Kirby game for Nintendo 64 I loved these games and I've downloaded some of them on the Virtual Console on my Wii |

I'm not that old But I would have to say that some of my favorite games from whenI was younger would have to be Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the 64, Sonic the Hedgehog and Golden Axe for the Sega Genesis. Other games would have to be Duck Hunt and Donkey Kong for the NES.

Link to the Motherfucking Past. Blew my mind when I first got it. There were other games I obsessed over before I got this, but it kicked my ass with awesomeness.

Streets of Rage 3 - I originally played with my dad all the time but once my brother and I got a little older we started to play it. We'd argue over who got to be the kangaroo.
World of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck - Again, my brother and I would always play this. This game was so fucking awesome. And of course the Pokemon games. Most of the games that I really remember from childhood are ones that I either played with my brother or dad. My brother and I played the shit of the Sega Genesis. |

Pokemon was definitely a staple. I also got a Sega Gamegear from my uncle when I was pretty young, so I spent hours playing Shining Force. I didn't really have a console until I was 10ish, and even then I wouldn't say I associate any of the games I played on them (until my xbox I had a hand me down NES from my uncle, and then a hand me down SNES from my cousin, which he later took back).

I believe that Earthbound was the very first game I played, and probably the most awesome to this day. Absolutely loved Earthbound.
Then Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was probably the greatest game then and I continued to love the Legend of Zeldas. Then I got a bit older and played Resident Evil alone in the dark and nearly shat myself with joy. Games from the past were fantastic. |

I always played the Zelda games growing up, but they weren't huge in my life. Like I would sooner play Spyro than Ocarina of Time, but the whole Zelda series has been amazing. I think I have to add Majora's Mask to my list.

I gotta throw Banjo Kazooie on the list. That game was amazingly fun, as well as having decent replay value for college-age me.

YES! I got a copy of Abe's Exodus with one of my first computers, and my brothers and I played it like crazy. I still quote it from time to time, but people never know what I'm talking about.

On my first PS all I had was pirated games, so did everyone else, no one had originals where I lived for a while. Basically, you bought a PS for 180 bucks or something and got like 60+ free games. Started getting originals on my xbox, NES, SNES, Gameboy, N64 etc.

Abe's oddysee was the first in what was supposed to be an epic 5 part series about the Oddworld universe but after Abe's Exodus the developers sold out to Microsoft for Xbox exclusives and fucked the whole thing up.

Pokemon of course, I didn't have my own console until my PS2 when I was about 10, but at my mates we would play Mario and Sonic, Pokemon stadium on the N64. When another of my friends got a PS1 I remember we would play Time Crisis loads, and I remember the early Street Fighter games at my cousins. Devil May Cry, Tony Hawks, Fifa whatever fucking year it was, and of course Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.
Recently one of my friends dragged his NES out of the attic, we played Rush'N'Attack, which I fucking wish I had when I was a kid, we were actually devising tactics for each level, shit gets quite hard. Star Fox is another one we were on, although I may have got that name wrong. |

Two Crude Dudes. I think I was the only one who played it, but me and my dad would play the shit out of it on my Genesis.
Me and my friends would play a lot of Goldeneye too. 4 player split screen on a 13" TV was fucking awesome back then. |

Many of my childhood games have made my "Best games of all time list" probably just from nostalgia, but what great nostalgia. Crash bandicoot 1-3, Crash Bash, and Crash Team Racing. Spyro 1-3. Pokemon red/blue through Crystal. Megaman Legends. Roller Coaster Tycoon (which I still play!) Super Mario Brothers Deluxe. Even during my late(er)(ish) childhood, like 5th grade, with metroid fusion, super mario advanced 2 and 3, A Link to the Past (GBA), good times. I never got a N64 :<...my dad actually had a Playstation as far back as I can remember. He doesn't play videogames now but I remember one of the first game I've played was tekken or something. When I was like 4 or 5. |

YES. FUCK YES. That was my favorite PS game hands down. Not that I had a lot of games though.. other then that it was a lot of Crash Bandicoot, and Parappa the Rappa was the first PS game I owned.
I played a shitload of Atari when I was wee. Off the top of my head.. Pac-Man, Pitfall, Asteroids, and many hours of Adventure. ![]() |

For the PS we always played Oddworld Abe's Oddysee and Rampage. Other than that all we really had for it were Jampack discs. Which introduced me to a ton of cool games (even foreign ones) but I can't remember the name of most of them.
On the PS2 we mostly played GTA: Vice City. As I aged into my mid-teens, though, I began to cling to JRPGs. N64 was mostly Goldeneye, F-Zero X, and that Star Wars Pod-Racing game. NES/SNES, typical Mario games and Donkey Kong Country. I also had a Pac-Man Adventures game which was totally badass at the time. When I was young I used to rock the hell out of a Roller Coaster Tycoon trial. Loved that game. Later I even bought it for the Xbox. Which I don't have anymore. :( and of course, Pokemon. |

I am kind of interested in the old cartridge consoles but I'm not that sad that I never has a SNES, the 64 was a good first console to have.
