I just hope that Modern Warfare 2 is as good as the first one is. Because COD4 was far better than COD5, I'm not sure what to think. I understand that it is two seperate companies making them, and with the makers of COD4 working on this one, I'm sure it will be great, I'm just worried it will suck ass like World at War did.

It won't suck ass anywhere near how much World at War sucked ass. And World at War didn't even suck that much ass, but the campaign was pretty terrible and multiplayer was bad. Zombies was fun as hell occasionally though.

Also, I saw one of the most awesome things ever, again. It was a scene about halfway through the game, in which you take the perspective of an astronaut. In outer space. Basically you're floating out in space attached by a cord to the International Space Station. And you can see the whole planet and everything. And Houston Control calls the International Space Station's radio and you see this nuclear warhead missile curving around the side of the Earth. It flies to above Houston and suddenly detonates in space. You see this huge blackout spread across the US from Houston as Houston Control on the radio is suddenly cut out by static. Then the shockwave from the nuke reaches the International Space Station and you see it completely break the fuck apart. And then it reaches you and you go tumbling through space before a giant piece of one of the International Space Station's solar panels comes flying in and KILLS THE FUCK OUT OF YOU.

God, I need this game. If anyone's interested about this - go to Gametrailers and find the video review. Be warned, it does show off a ton of awesome moments from the game and does give out major spoilers.

Call of Duty just sticks to the character stereotypes that every war movie and game has, thus I tend to think the campaign is mediocre.

I do, however, think that Infinity Ward has the possibility to start to create actual engaging storylines. They were a tiny bit successful with the first MW but seemed too wary of trying something too new. But since they got a lot of positive feedback with certain scenes I think they're willing to begin trying actual engaging storylines.

It'll probably still take me over a year to beat though.

MW1 was the first Call of Duty game I've played through and the only part of the game I found stereotypical was that one Russian guy that wore a track suit all the time.

We could voice our opinion by boycotting the game, but that sure as shit isn't happening unless the price is twice what it is now. If we had it our way they'd just give it to us for free, because that's the best possible situation for us, but then there would be no MW3.

I didn't know you spoke French! And yes, price hikes will definitely hurt the business more than it benefits. Saying that YOU will buy it anyway doesn't mean others can. Piracy is rampant on the pc, like it or not.

On topic, did anyone see the promotional vid they just released that had Cole Hamels in it? It was against spam grenades and at the end of it the words Fight Against Grenade Spam appeared on screen. I used Bold to point out why it kicked up controversy.

I don't see the controversy everyone knows 3x grenade perk is for fags. Play MW1 on PS3 and you will understand the true HATE for grenade spam.

That is a pretty bold statement. I for one was extremely excited for this game but then I heard about the price hike and the lack of mod support/dedicated servers and decided I would not be buying it. So...

It's foolish of me to speak on everyone's behalf so I'll re-word my statement.

In the event that the game would cost 70 dollars rather than 50, I would still pay that much for it and I believe most gamers who enjoyed the first title would do so as well. Conversely I don't believe there would be enough individuals boycotting the game to cause any significant change in the CEO's supposed decision the increase the price.

That petition has approximately gathered 150,000 signatures so far, and it was 2 days ago I was talking to some classmates about CoD MW2 and they all said they were boycotting it for the PC.

So, yeah.

I've read an article where Activision/IW did acknowledge the online petition, although they didn't clearly state that they were going to change dedicated servers, they did say that nothing is for certain yet.

Well the average price for Mass Effect used is around 25 bucks and cod4 ranges from 40 to 46 dollars so... you could sell both for a total of 65-71 dollars and buy mw2 for 60 bucks and get some money back, or trade in and get the game "for free."

I hate the "deals" at places like GameStop and EB Games.

I would be mad about dedicated severs if I was getting for PC, but I'm not. Besides, the first handled matchmaking pretty well.

I really don't know anything about it though except for civilian killing and NUKEM.
