NEW ZELDER GAME HURP

http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=3258
(with video)

Quote:
The new The Legend of Zelda™: Spirit Tracks game that Iwata announced will utilise the intuitive touch control of Phantom Hourglass in an all new adventure that will please longtime Zelda™ fans while keeping the game accessible to all DS owners. The concept behind this Zelda game includes utilising a steam locomotive to travel around the world, switching Phantom and Link to explore the dungeons, and solving puzzles using new items.
Quite frankly I think Link in a train conductor's uniform looks a tad retarded, and the game looks like it's going to have a bunch of "deliver this" quests, but nonetheless, Phantom Hourglass was good and I'll be getting this.

He does look a tad weird.
I was hoping the next one would be a Wii game. A well.

It seems to make alot of use of the robot drones from Twilight Princess. Hopefully this wont just be Phantom Hourglass with a train instead of a boat.

A train? I hope this game doesn't steer the Zelda series too far off track. Nintendo certainly knows how to conduct good business, but I think a lot of people want to kick their caboose because of this gimmick. They've been chugging along at a serious pace for years now, but Spirit Tracks could be the first sign that they're running out of steam. Hell, part of it features a rail shooter minigame. I'm certainly not stoked for this title.

But that's just me. For those who decide to get on board with it, enjoy!

Incredible.

I feel like Zelda has been steadily going down hill since Wind Waker

I only pay attention to console releases, and hand held releases I don't consider the "main" series. I think almost every hand held release has had some lame gimmick, and this one is no different.

Needs less Wind Waker, more OoT and Twilight Princess.

If they put more effort into the dungeons, id pick it up. In Phantom hourglass, each dungeon took less then 10 minutes to beat...

lololololol.

I have was not huge on Phantom Hourglass. I am disappointed they are doing this.
I think Zelda should stick to the the consoles, considering everything on consoles was gold.

Damn, I hate the Cel shaded games. I tried out Wind Waker just for the hell of it. I can't believe i actually sat through a whole game with those damned graphics. Can't Nintendo make a few more TP or OoT style games?

The only things i didn't like about TP was that you couldn't get any upgrades/items for wolf form and few unlockables at the end. (Not even a red suit.)

This looks exactly like the phantom hourglass except instead of a boat you get a train.

It doesn't look terrible, I love Zelda, hell I've beaten every Zelda game ever created. Also, Nintendo is supposed to be making a new Zelda for the Wii soon, though there's not much out on it other then the fact that it is being made.

I really think they should just take the nintendo 64 games OoT and MM and remake them the wii exactly the same as they were except with TP graphics

That'd be great I'd love it...
(but they won't)
