You can't say that you're going to go first but that the other person should watch the thread and throw together something in the last few hours. And I don't care if people have reasons, I said no excuses.

Yeah, we can't really start bending the rules otherwise it will show favouritism and generate compaints, although it really sucks that Lissa was kicked out by default (really really sucks) she did reserve the spot and like far mentioned, the person shouldn't be waiting to see if she finished or not to throw something together last minute :(

He only took 20 minutes because he didn't really have to worry about anything. And if that's not seen as an agreement by everyone then they are both out because they couldn't decide on who would go first within the two days. I see that as Lissa saying she would though.

Yeah, I completely agree. I just wanted to put my word in, and like I said in my last post, I don't want to end up bending the rules for only some.

It is a shame Lissa is out, however, rules are rules and there have already been a number of people out of this. Personally if I was Azunder I would have posted a little before 72 hours were almost up, if someone hasn't posted within 2 days then to draw a "20 minute" comic you do not need another 24 hours.

Even after Lissa had posted saying she may not be able to post on time, and Azunder had replied to that post, making it clear there was an understanding that the post would not be made on time, Azunder was still 2 hours late on THAT deadline, if you consider the deadline to be moved from the 15th to the 16th, it was posted approx. 26 hours after Lissa's post declaring the possibility she may not be able to make one in time.

Anyway, a shame to see Lissa out and this round over so quickly and in such a manner.

When lissa said that she wouldn't be able to post until the next day there was still 2 days left almost. Azunder shouldn't have to take it upon himself to save her by rushing a bad comic. His art clearly suffered in this one which only took 20 minutes. Had he thrown that in at the last minute he'd have an entry that isn't up to par with his skills and could have cost him the match.

Yes, however, Azunder posted more than 3 days after her post, even if it is claimed that he didn't read it until he posted his reply he still posted over 2 days after that. I am just saying that personally, I would have made some kind of comic when the time was getting close, just so it could be posted right after Lissa didn't post, instead of waiting another 26 hours to post.

I think this sends more of a message to people in the future rounds, to make sure they do not post late, or suffer from mis-communication.

Well, I took his first response to the thread as "I'd like you to go first, but if you can't, there's still time left for me to". However, my situation was whenever my computer would be fixed on time. It was not until today, and I thought that the deadline was 2 days after the opponent posted.

Anyways, I wont argue. It's your competition, Far.

It's come to this. Either both of you are out because you couldn't figure out who would go first or you are. Your post gave the impression that you'd go first. While his post said that he would go first if you couldn't you came and said that you'd be able to get yours in the next day, still well within the limit.
